ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Gold Coast to Brisbane is 5 lanes in places, its f**kin tops
Yeah that's right bear.

And when you drive to Brisbane via the coast road the difference in the quality of the road when you cross from NSW into Q'land is like night and day.

Our side is like the 3rd world ffs.

And they've been talking about upgrading that road since I came here 18 years ago.

amen to that. 5 lanes but you need to weave through all 5 - often crossing 3 lanes at a time.

Plus they never indicate when approaching a roundabout.

All seems very pie in the sky to me, when I first thought about moving up the Coast about 8 years ago the talk was about a fast ferry.....................................................

If an Australian government were to address a problem 10-15 years (or even 20 - lol) before it eventuates, what would they have to showcase to the voters in their next election campaign in 3 years' time?

the visionaries wind up as poor sad old buggers who put in place a revolution and never get their dues, to the point that any time they put their heads up they get kicked while successors who are half the talents they are claim the credit.

I must add:
1) Not associated with Turnbull, only met him 3 times.
2) Not associated with this Balmain Boy guy from SFCU.
3) Had no idea that Wyong RSL was even considering selling this Club Tuggerah.
4) IF it is developed they will have to also fix up the bus interchange at Tuggerah station and the car park facilities there too  -it's a shambles and won't be able to cope with crowds.

shall we call you Prescient Pete? ;D

maybe balmain boy just searched your old post and regurgitated it?

anyway, your point 4 is correct, but it's probably the least of their troubles - a 35k stadium's a big undertaking, just ask john thwaites!

Dont forget QLD gets like 2bil of nsw gst every year.

Like mick said, governments these days will not invest in infrustructure unless it is necessary now. Fortunately the 2nd airport is necessary very soon.

The problems with public opinion for the sydney site no doubt helped to slow it  down, but since newy already has an airport, and the fact it will bring alot of money and opportunity to the region, i would not expect them to have the same voter troubles there.

bingo - newcastle sees dollar signs and extra development where badgery's creek and holsworthy saw noise and annoyance. dumb thing is that had they put the airport out there, PT and business development would have accelerated massively.

Have the plans or proposals for an international airport large enough to cater for jumbojets located in Warnervale been scrapped?

We need a real Socialist revolution. At least the trains will run on time and we can watch Iemma and his cronies hanging from lamp posts in Macquarie St.

NRL/AFL players and officials to be declared class traitors and hunted down unless they recant their beliefs and swear alliegance to Football.

Democratic Peoples Republic of NSW.

(It couldnt go any worse could it??)
