ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

. discussions about selections are always contentious ... and i think everybody has their favourites including the boss, i s'pose. the thing is it gets very tiresome having to read the same crap every week ... its all well and good to say that you have a right to express your views, but guess what? it seems lawrie is not influenced by this forum in his selections

. anyway, i think we have proven time and again this season that we don't actually start to play until around the hour mark. keeping your two most influential attacking weapons until this point, to me, is an inspired piece of management - certainly worked a treat the other night

Worst game of football that I have EVER seen. I had relatives over from the UK and I was embarrassed to watch.

LM what were you thinking playing Os on the left flank and Hutch at ATM... diabolical selections. There is no question now about favouritism. Its a f**king joke! I'd be calling for his sacking if we lost this.

Why sub Gumps for Matty and not Osman can someone tell me this? I laugh when ever I think of Miron saying "yeah we should get Osman from the Mariners" Can't wait till he's gone his air swing in the first half when he landed on his ass was priceless

First half was so uninspiring and the second wasn't too much better expect for some class from Heff and flat out determination from MS.

Thank God we got out of jail though. Matt Simon you are a legend. Foxsports Fantay A league has him as receiving a yellow so who knows.

Lawrie needs to do something for NYE coz we are playing hopeless.

Didn't see any flares on TV but whats the problem? They look great!

FFS, we beat scum in scum to bundle them out of any slim finals hope they had and all you do whine and whinge

osman was miles better than gumpy in the game and the sub worked

you bring nothing positive to this forum - ever

Of course your right, lets all select a team with the intention of falling behind to then make subsitutions to put us back in the game. It makes total sense now that you put it like that!!!  :headbutt:

I wish I knew half of what you think you know.

I'd happily put my credentials and football experience/knowledge against someone with a rugby union monkier

You cannot possibly have any credibility if you think Gumpy had a better game than Osman.

You are quick to doll shit on Lawrie McKinna yet he makes a couple of subs and changes the game - ironically one of them was Gumps

I'm pretty sure I have never said Gumps had a good game and the same logic should be applied to Jedinaks substitution. Thats you coming up with lame examples to support an even worse arguement!!!

And judging by the majority of posts, you are the only person to say Gumps was worse than Osman, what does that tell you about your "football knowledge"?

And when supporters have to sit through 60 minutes of shit before he realises he's made the same selection mistake that he has made in the majority of games this season by starting a certain few players than why not "doll shit" on him. I'm sure I'm not the only person on this forum that thought to themselves "what the f**k is he thinking" when they saw the starting lineup.

IMHO I think your opinions and views about our club are clearly misguided by your obvious brown nosing posts about certain players and our beloved manager. You are allowed to have an opinion and vent frustrations on a forum and for you to over react like I am criticising your family, well, I feel sorry for you.

Mmm, Jedinak came off because he was injured so I do not know what you are talking about in the first paragraph

While i respect the opinions of many on this forum I do not think it is a reflective sample size of overall opinion and knlowledge and you would have to be ignorant to think otherwise. Those people I believe have football knowledge through their coaching and past playing credentials all agree with me on this. I am fortunate to know alot of people and talk much football with them and their views are always much more enlightening than a rugby player.

As for brown nosing - you should not really make ignorant comments on things you do not know. All you have to do podcast some past games (including Friday night) from the Coast-FM website (www.coastfm.org.au) to hear my views during games. Some of the question I pose in post-macth press conferences (inc. a couple Friday night) to Lawrie McKinna are also far from brown-nosing.

Maybe you should widen your sphere past this forum and have some meaningful football discussions with some people who have a very strong knowledge in the game. I suggest you should start with "From The Dug Out" in this forum who would be happy to have a coffee with you at Budgiewoi Club.

Otherwise, go back to your rugby club to start improving the dialogue on here.

Last para (most of it's an article about Allsop's hit in Kosmina)
The FFA panel will also study footage of the after-match melee in Newcastle on Friday, when Mariners striker Dylan Macallister was red-carded by referee Peter O'Leary for abusive language towards opponents. Jets striker Joel Griffiths could be in hot water again after his confrontation with John Hutchinson.

"Abusive language towards opponents" - in that situation Dylan was the only one ???

You've got to be kidding, sir (and he should've said something in Norwegian).

Get a load of this :

"It is time for FFA to act:

By Gary Fish Dec 27th, 2008 Category: Lead Story
I have no real issue with John Hutchinson being a **** on the field, every team at some stage needs a bloke to put the opposition off their game. If playing dirty is the way he contributes to his household budget, then so be it.

But when the bloke consistently behaves in a way towards opposing fans that serves only to insight anger and aggression than the FFA need to act.

We are at a point in this country where old sokkah is slowly making way for new football. The media (as we well know) are only looking for a chance to drag up riot in a headline. The FFA have security guards and cops all over the active fans to try and avoid things getting ugly, yet have a loose cannon on the field.

Last nights antics on fulltime, when Hutchinson booted the ball into the opposition fans in yet another show of disrespect, is just one example of a growing list of stupid, stupid shit he has done towards the crowd to incite violence.

It is time for the FFA to step in and start dealing with the root of the problem and not the symptoms.

We, as active fans, get asked to point out trouble makers amongst us in the crowd how about some recognition that one of the main trouble makers is actually on the field.

I have no doubt Hutcho loves being hated by us, just as I am sure that Joel loves being hated by opposition fans, but players should be hated because of the way they play and the impact they have on a game (e.g. Joel), not solely by the way they treat the fans (e.g. Hutcho).

I cant think of an F3 derby he has had a huge impact on (I could be wrong), however he is still the most hated Mariners player for his post-game antics, and that pretty much sums the bloke up.

It is time for the FFA to act and punish John Hutchinson, before it gets out of hand and football is back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Well done Griff for sticking up for us all.
Praise be to you."

So the sooks can throw coins at Hutcho, but as soon as he bombs a ball into the crowd (as has been done countless times at bluetounge) HE is the villain?

And let us just ignore the sack whacking golden boy who started the fight. Has his actions on field provided a much more positive image for the game?.

Mabey the taste of their own medicine, severed on their band new wooden spoon has left them with a foul taste in their rooten toothed mouth.

p.s sorry if this has already been posted, dont get to read all posts when at work

Feel bad for McCallister, didnt really do to much.
Maybe said something like c*nt, or something more offensive then f*ck.

Hutcho should have some sought of fine (not much less then a weeks wage - or even a suspended sentance) just something from the FFA to try and stamp what he did out.

Simon as much as i hate the guy was only defending his team-mate, yellow card probably shouldnt have been given

Mick you and Chris are the last remaining voices on this forum with any sense.

I am amazed at the numbers here,
who watch the game once (see maybe 50%),
have no access to tapes,
have no access to players,
have no access to training,
have no experience at higher level football (or no experience at all),
and then pile shit on Lawrie's methods.

Unfortunately this forum is being taken over by the loud and ignorant.
