Round 17 - Away to the Scum

I think the frustration is that we seam to have no one any better than Hutcho at CM so when he is shite we still play him.  All four starting middies were pretty bad last night and none of them would get a start in any other HAL team on that effort.
Ceceras has not been poor for a month as someone said but he does lack composure in front of goals , like Kwasie ( but different in that he has talent). For mine i'd start him in front of Osman any day.
Hutcho Jedi caceras Gumps would be my starting midfield next week (yes Gumpey was shit but it would surprise me to see him play poorly twice). As oppossed to Osman who only ever plays poorly every week.

John Hutchison is a hard-as-nails, CCM legend. 3 out of 3 times in derbies this year (not to mention previous seasons) he has got under the skin of the Squadrunts - there is more press about Hutcho over on the scum fan site than anything else at the moment. They can't handle losing and they can't handle Hutcho sticking it to them.

There's heaps of Hutcho bashing on the Jets forum. But I had to laugh out loud at this post, which was about how Hutch (over)reacts to abuse from the Squadron:

'A good example of copping fan shit on the chin is Griffo. The guy cops an absolute bucketload from every team, yet I've never seen him give shit to the crowd like Hutchinson.... (then again maybe I just wasn't looking)'.

If this poster had seen Griffiths after the grand final, he'd be humming a different tune. And I'm sure a few Marinators will have Joel Griffiths stories to relate.

Griffiths is worst than Hutcho, the way he retaliated to us after the grand final when they were walking round the ground after the grand final.

But i admit we deserved every bit of it becasue we were giving him so much shit, but he is a professional football player and should just ignore that sort of abuse

Worst game of football that I have EVER seen. I had relatives over from the UK and I was embarrassed to watch.

LM what were you thinking playing Os on the left flank and Hutch at ATM... diabolical selections. There is no question now about favouritism. Its a f**king joke! I'd be calling for his sacking if we lost this.

Why sub Gumps for Matty and not Osman can someone tell me this? I laugh when ever I think of Miron saying "yeah we should get Osman from the Mariners" Can't wait till he's gone his air swing in the first half when he landed on his ass was priceless

First half was so uninspiring and the second wasn't too much better expect for some class from Heff and flat out determination from MS.

Thank God we got out of jail though. Matt Simon you are a legend. Foxsports Fantay A league has him as receiving a yellow so who knows.

Lawrie needs to do something for NYE coz we are playing hopeless.

Didn't see any flares on TV but whats the problem? They look great!

And judging by the majority of posts, you are the only person to say Gumps was worse than Osman, what does that tell you about your "football knowledge"?

And when supporters have to sit through 60 minutes of shit before he realises he's made the same selection mistake that he has made in the majority of games this season by starting a certain few players than why not "doll shit" on him. IMHO I think your opinions and views about our club are clearly misguided by your obvious brown nosing posts about certain players and our beloved manager. Lots of "wtf is he doing " type comments made around us at the start of the game.The critisim of the team selection grew as the first half wore on.

But you do have to give Lawrie credit for recognising the way the game was going and making the substitutions at the right time. ie not the 82nd minute.

Whichever way you look at it the ending was ok!!

I had one Woman, probably in her fifties, want to get punchy with me because I was singing the "1 nil, and you f**ked it up" song. When I pointed out to her that the Squadron are not exactly saints either when at Bluetounge. Her response was "so that make it ok does it?", I flatly responded "yes, it does actually ".

So I continued to sing when other random Jets fan said "Its no trophy" I laughed and replied "Its no wooden spoon either". At least from that dood I got a laugh.

Also, who ever the dood is that has the mariners Tattoo on his back, who hugged me and every one of my friends declaring his love for each one of us(we were sitting right at the front bashing the barricades), YOU sir, are one funny sweaty bastard.

As for the game, I got chills to see the almost instant affect Matty and Caceres had.
