Am I the only one sick of Hutcho's repeated diving?  It's fkn embarassing.  I despise cheating like that and the clowns who do it repeatedly.

Your comments are embarrassing ... he goes down because he is fouled .. watch him and learn. A foul is a foul and if the only way to get these crap refs to pull them up is to draw attention to it then that is not cheating, and you should be ashamed for suggesting it!

You Hutch bashers are making me sick! Get f**ken over your prejudice ... neutral observers are rating him and some of his own club's fans are shitting on him. Sick bastards.

And you Hutch lovers are making the rest of us sick...... don't let the whole "he wailed on the Squadron" (and we won) cloud the fact that he was nothing short of our worst player, and quite possibly the proud owner of "worst 45 minutes in a Mariners jersey all season".

Caceres being dropped ahead of him yet against proves that favouritism within this squad is rife.  "Neutral observers" (other forums, media) are constantly questioning why Caceres is so often relegated to a fixed wing role, and why he is always substituted ahead of Hutch.  Watching Caceres single handedly change the game in the last half hour last night was nothing short of amazing.  The speed, the vision, the passes....... you can't seriously leave that on the bench ahead of Hutch's........... well........ ummmm............  :-\

And if you don't think that his little "turn and fall on his arse" isn't a ploy to try and win a free kick, then you sir are blind.

Disagree completely. Whilst no one can fault his passion and commitment, he just isnt good enough at this level any more.

Happened to Spencer, happening to Gumps and has happened to him.

Also, if he is fouled so often, why doesnt he get more free kicks? He goes down faster than a schoolgirl in Largo.

What predjudice?  If he plays well I'll say so.  If he's as useful on the field as a divot and does nothing for 90 minutes but try to cheat, I'll say as such.  What's embarrassing is that divers like him are wearing yellow - I've always liked the fact that we can say our team is above cheats like griffiths, thompson, Seo and Song.  This season we've lost that right.  Every time he came near an opponent he fell over - just like half the jets players.  It's embarassing and a plague on the game.  While people are so one-sided that they can't even recognise their own players doing it and/or support them doing so, we don't have a chance of eliminating this virus from the beautiful game.

If everybody on the park knows that Hutcho will fall down as soon as there's a soft breeze, then do you really think the referee's going to believe it when is foulled?  The last thing a referee wants to do is allow a diver to win a critical free kick - if a player constantly goes down all the time it makes it nigh on impossible for a referee to tell if he's actually been foulled or not (remember, contact itself isn't a foul - it usually has to have an effect on the opponent.  But how can you tell if it does when that player deliberately goes down?) - I think that was one of the reasons O'leary was so inconstent last night.  There were so many players on the field getting attacked by feisty blades of grass that half the time he didn't want to give anybody the benefit of the doubt - generally, if there's a suspicion there's a dive that isn't enough for a card but it will usually be enough to keep the referee's whistle out of his mouth (not saying that was the only thing going on with O'leary, but I think that was part of it).  If Hutcho played with a bit of integrity last night, then we may have benefitted from a bit more benefit of the doubt.

Face it, Hutcho's a passenger - although when he drags the whole team down by diving and making referees more reluctant to award us free kicks he starts to become that morbidly obese passenger who puts the car on a lean, makes it corner funny and makes it bottom out on speed humps in car parks.

I watch the replay this morning i am laughing at the Sqaudron singing "We are Champions, say we are Champions" in the first half.

Worst Title Defence Ever

At least they have a title to defend.

Our trophy cabinet is still empty, bar some micky mouse trophies.

Serious ... you actually believe that? I'm truly amazed!

So he was worse than say Osman?

He is not playing well and I've been wondering why Lawrie has played him sometimes ... but that makes me a Hutch lover and you an objective observer. What a laugh.

Osman was absolutely f**king terrible last night.

Dont think anyone is arguing that point

It seems Serious is from his post ... oh well I suppose that is what forums are for ... greatly different opinions all in support of the same club.

BUT OF COURSE!!!!!  It was Osman's fault that he was deployed on _THE LEFT WING_, to make room for your "so painfully out of form it makes the rest of the team look bad" mate Hutch, and not at all Lawrie's, who is well known for favouring said out-of-form mate, no matter what??

You might recall I thought he played spectacularly well last season.  However, this season, I think he's garbage.  It's as about as objective as I can be - I don't believe in this "defend the players no matter what" attitude, they are as accountable as every other player in every other team.  The fact that he continues to win a starting spot week after week (and our most creative player is relegated to the bench) is unacceptable, plain and simple.

P.S.  I never once said Osman was good last night, he wasn't.  I'm just making the point he was thrust into a horrid position because of this compulsive need Lawrie has to start Hutch no matter what.  It has to stop.

P.P.S.  Forums are quite fun, I must admit.  :tophat:

You know, Hutcho was also good in Season 1 and about as effective as a condom with ventilation in season 2.  So by that pattern he should be useful again next season.  So maybe we should just have a little faith?

You can't call their season a title defence can you?  If they were serious about defending their title they would be in the top 4 now.  Biggest fall from grace in A-league history... Champions (I use the term loosely) to wooden spooners, thats worse than Melbourne's title defence.

They have all the excuses in the world, their forum is filled with them, in fact here is a picture of the data warehouse where all of their excuses are stored...
