Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Scot MacDonald has been put on the transfer list by Boro - wonder if he thinks he can step up a level and come to the A League?
Mariners need a striker, we couldn't offer much money but we could give him a better lifestyle than Middlesbrough :innocent:

He's a very good signing imo. Can be an excellent finisher. Can play wide left or striker for us. Will very likely score more goals than Hutch or Olly at LM. I think he underperformed with Perth. But does have the potential to surprise in the right squad...
Hoping we are that squad. Seems like a good guy.

Cons: Can go missing and not the kind of personality/player to impose himself on games I think. Have a hard time seeing him score 13-16 goals a season for us, which is what we truly need.

Discuss.

sounds like some confusion at the mariners!

SMH

‘‘We’re absolutely delighted to get Mile on board,’’ said chairman Peter Turnbull. ‘‘He’s a player of proven pedigree, he’s an ex-international, and I think it’s a great show of faith in our club that he’s decided to join us rather than take up [other] offers."

"it's not true. Mile hasn't signed," McKinna told TWG.

"We have one spot left in our squad for a striker and that should be confirmed within a week."

I've heard that the paperwork is yet to be done. It should be done and dusted Monday.

there is an outside chance that we will get both mile and jason at bargain basement prices, im sure ffa would let jason be marque at a 3rd team even if he was on minimum wage or there is space to move ryan to young marque etc

both of these guys would be out to prove a point, have worked with arnold before and clarky would get them into career best shape!!!

check this out for a line up

Mile --- Rogic --- Ibini

Olly --- Cullina --- Weemac

Rose - Pat - Wilko - Bojic

-------RYAN--------

Tweet from Lawrie a couple of minutes ago "romours (sic) about Wilko off to Korea are untrue but we the club have had an enquiry from an agent but nothing more than that".

Wilko might have ambition but just having his first child I'm sure he realises the coast is the best place for his young family!

I'd be very happy seeing that line up on the field after a pre-season with Arnie & Clarky

——Rogic (u21) —

Hey,

I hope Mile does sign, at perth the problem was a stupid manager afraid that Fowler and Mile were a better players then he was a manager, which was true.

I think you would play Mile as a Attacking Midfielder, he is always one step ahead of everyone ells and if there is a player in space Mile will usually find him.

Culina is a interesting situation, IMO he was useless in the A-League but when he played for Australia he was one of our best midfielders so I don't know if he would be a good signing, also taking into account for injuries.
