Unceremonious end to his Mariners life.
Dropped for your last game.
You can now add untrust worthy to the negative side.
Was he speaking to SFC before last week - Is that why he was so shit last week?

Good riddance has put him self before the team (allegedly).

For those who didn't hear last night - He was dropped for talking to SFC when he was asked not to by Arnie until after the AFC CL.

So do they cut the dog loose or make him suffer on the bench for a year (still has a year to go on mariners contract)? I say cut him loose

Pedj has to many outside commitments lately... his game has dropped off significantly since he released a line of pretentious hats

Yeah,I think cut him loose, is the option to go with. Nothing to be gained by ruining his career by leaving him on the bench for a season - it'll only serve to make us look petty. If what they said last night is true, I'm a bit disappointed... It goes against everything that the team stands for... He would have known that they would be likely to let him go if he really wanted to, so why not show some courtesy in return...

Once that's said... Isn't it all still just rumours, albeit persistent ones?

He had a shit game (Look Dibo, no stars! ;) ) last week, that performance combined with his generally performance this year (note, "year" not "season") is reason enough to look to play someone else in his role for a little - to see what happens.

That's a bit harsh.
Can't blame the guy for wanting to further himself. I reckon the hats & clothing line is a great idea & well done too.

But can blame him for not keeping talks with SFC on ice until after the ACL.
Good luck to him, but we all know what happens to (most) players that leave this club.

If we get to keep Trent for another year, I hope we don't end up playing him at RB because we don't have anyone better.

Looking forward to see Olly next year. I reckon its going to be his year.

I have no problems with him building a business (TBF I don't like his clothing range, but thats a personal preference), but there is a time and a place, and when it affects your primary job, then it becomes a problem.

Yeah, I've had some of the same thoughts/fears... I suspect that Brent would be more of a target for that though, unless Trent particularly wants to play in that role - in which case, I guess letting him try it the smartest thing to do - if we don't have a better option.

True.

To be fair if he could rely on his primary job to pay him when it was meant too (or even pay a decent wage as under the cap the wage is not really going to set you up after football) maybe he wouldn't need to focus so much on his outside business.

Also true

I don't think there rumours when the coach benches you in one of the clubs biggest games ever, You have been an integral member all year & the press says that's why your dropped - On top of rumours stating the exact same thing.

Being the A League off season you would have to wonder how much pressure SFC has put on him to get an answer straight away as they had released there right or left back (not sure which - the Brazilian sounding guy) a week or two ago. Pedj they have well & truly pulled your pants down (or hat - what ever he sells) here. Either way it's a bad look & I back GA 100% on his decision.

Trent looked a little lost in his role last night - Much prefer him as a CB - First time I've noticed but looked like he doesn't have a left foot - Runs around it a lot.

Goalkeeper Mat Ryan, defender Pedj Bojic and midfielder Oliver Bozanic look to have played their last games for Central Coast Mariners as the A-League champion faces a raft of departures in the aftermath of its AFC Champions League exit.
Out-of-contract Ryan is pondering personal terms with Europa League bound Danish Superliga outfit Randers.
Bojic has already agreed terms with Sydney FC after being granted a release by the Mariners from the final year of his contract.
Bozanic, who signed a new deal in March until the end of the 2013-2014 season, is on the threshold of joining the growing list of Aussies in Korea.
Central Coast’s board met on Monday and agreed to accept a training compensation fee of $180,000 for 21-year-old fringe Socceroos custodian Ryan, who has made 78 appearances since his debut in 2010.
Crucially, the deal will also net the Mariners about 20 per cent any future on-sale fee for the shot-stopper if he heads to Denmark.
Ryan, whose mooted trial with Ligue 1 outfit Lille appears to be off the agenda, was also wanted by League One side Sheffield United - with both Randers and the Blades pledging to make him No.1 next season.
But it seems Randers - managed by former England international defender Colin Todd – has won out, assuming Ryan agrees to the wage package on offer.
Bojic, 29, another of coach Graham Arnold’s mainstays over the past five years will join the Sky Blues after seeking and being granted a release.
The Sydney-based right-back made 123 appearances since his debut in 2008 but was an unused substitute in the 3-0 ACL Round of 16 second leg defeat to Guangzhou Evergrande.
Bojic's departure will pave the way Young Socceroos defender Hayden Morton – who has made two A-League appearances to date - to fill the void left by one of Arnold’s most experienced and reliable performers.
Former Young Socceroos midfielder Bozanic, 24, could join the duo in heading out of Gosford with an unnamed K-League side offering a fee that has triggered a release clause in his contract.
Bozanic, who is highly rated by Arnold, was hampered by injuries this season and only started 10 A-League games – including the grand final.
He came off the bench in both leg of the ACL tie with Guangzhou - which the Mariners lost 5-1 on aggregate.
Meanwhile, highly-rated centre-back Trent Sainsbury will trial with perennial Swiss UEFA Champions League representative FC Basel this month – assuming he is not named in the Socceroos squad for June's World Cup qualifiers – and could also be on his way abroad.
Attacking threat Bernie Ibini was due to trial with Ryan at Lille, but may now be staying put – for the time being.
