ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Granted, I'm not exactly unbiased ;) but YES... Yes it is...
Is Randers better than the Mariners - of this I am not so certain... But teams like FC Copenhagen (FCK), FC Nordsjælland (lately), OB - occasionally... I would judge them as better... I don't know that it actually means anything, but Coe played four games for Randers... While he played more for SønderjyskE I seem to recall that he was headed for the bench when he was bought by MV (don't quote me on that though)...

Then again - Berisha came and went at Horsens a couple of times... Not sure what to make of that ;)

Meh, a little disappointed, but I guess it gives us someone new to "boo" ... Sellout ;)

FC Copenhagen and Nordsjælland of late and Bromby of the late 90's would certainly be better but he isn't going to them. Just seen whats happened to Meggsy and Coe (he was benching it from what those 'Aussies Abroad' pages were saying) when moved to the Danish Superliga and am just slightly skeptical he'll go the same way.

heh, don't get on here for most of the day and half the team seems gone!

we still have a high quality contingent and a lot of potential. if under Arnie no problem. if not well then interesting times but plenty of reason to be confident

i suspect some of these recruitment options thrown around are unlikely or tongue in cheek?

Morton will be fine at RB

Pedj can do one TBH.

Watch carefully how many times that Monty or Sainsbury have to come across and cover for his awful touch or poor positioning. Even Bernie has had to spend large chunks of games digging him out of the shit.

I have heard it on the grapevine that the Mariners are abandoning their youth policy and going for veterans - specifically old over-the-hill still living off past glories Socceroos: Schwarzer (out of contract at Fulham) for Ryan, Look-at-me Lucas Neil for Patrick, Harry 'match fit' Kewell for Ollie, and David 'the A League is beneath me' Carney for Bernie. You heard it here first.

Nothing new with that.

We've had Bosnich and Patrick. And you could count Vidmar and Aloisi as well. All have served the Club well.

Arnie has always had the right mix of old & young players.
The older ones mentor the younger ones. It`s that simple.
As long as we maintain the "no dickheads" policy then My trust in Arnie will remain.

Yeah - I wasn't going to mention the disgrace that is Brøndby... The Sydney FC of Superligaen, with our financial strength... The team that made it such a personal victory for me to be able to follow the mariners - yellow and blue doesn't come naturally to me ;)

Aaaanywho - I guess the thing is, that at the very least he'll be playing against those teams... Randers did fairly well for itself this season though, coming third in it's first season back in the top flight. So at least he'd be playing a couple of Europa league games too... If they stick to the promise of him stepping in as the #1 keeper... David Ousted is on his way away from Randers apparently, so the stars are aligning and, from that point of view, it's perhaps not the worst move in the world for Matty... Keeps him as a #1 keeper entering Europe and gets him in those Europa league games - all in all puts him in the shopping window etc.

. i'm no expert but 21 yo 6ft 'keeper going to europe - straight to the first team and europa league ... probably not bad

. the last couple of game have given him the opportunity to remind us he is more than just a sweeper (albeit a good one)

Pedj is a loss but if he wants to go then f**k off mate! Massively flawed but his engines make up for everything and he has been brilliant for us.....so I'm very sad to see him go.
Olly.....god I hope that's not true.
Ryan....we know we are gonna lose him sooner or later. Even though he still has a lot to learn (see penalty yesterday for reference) he is a great talent and maybe the best sweeping keeper that I can think of.
As a parent of teenage girl on the coast...I'll be happy to see the back of him....jokes!

Matty needs to go, he was barely used this season. He stalled, probably should have left last season, from his own perspective. He just did not have enough to do. Keeping your concentration is a key skill for keepers, but that is about all he would have learnt this year.

I know you were tongue-in-cheek Roy but they were great glories - but you missed out on Bresc.

Bresc scored the goal 16/11/2005. Harry, Lucas, Viddy and Aloisi scored the penalties and Schwarzer made the saves.

totally agree...Pedj will be a loss, as will Olly. I think we could/should have used Olly far more this season at the expense of Hutch. I know Olly had injuries, but we looked a far better team as soon as Olly came on th pitch....his energy and "forward" thinking more in tune with the mariners play than perhap's hutch and his backwards perspective. Oh well...c'est la vie.
I'm sure that whoever Arnie and JC choose as keeper will do a great job for us next season.

Hope they are all playing for free - Even if they aren't they won't get paid any way (uncalled for low blow  )

On the bright side they all look good in Yellow
Swartz - Everyday
Neill - No thanks - Great in his day but i'm not sure how he will handle sitting next to Mile on the bench
Harry - Will attract more cute girls - Was but is no longer one of the best
Carney - Perfect replacement for Pedj - better setup a boat to catch them crosses that land at Iguanas

Can we re-name the Active supporters - Dads Army as well

as I said earleir we need to deal with replacing his impact but at best Pedj was only going to get more distracted as time goes on anyway

After Pedj's retweet of "#sydneyisskyblue" he can go and f**k himself with a cactus for all I care. Judas prick. So long and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I don't do twitting or what ever it is - But I presume you are saying he is groming is new supports to like him which is fair enough, but what about a thanks for the memories CCM Fans etc.

Think he has totally ballsed up this move.

Sorry - first post above result of what used to be known as 'fat finger'.
But yes, I would love to see Bresciano at the Mariners!

I think this sums up how I feel as well. First name Pedj, last name Iscariot. I would have preferred Wanderers to be honest, but not by much.
