V emotional after the game - nice to see.
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Keep Adrian away from the ball. Everytime he takes one he spoons it over the crossbar by 20 metres.
And Disco doesn't? Last Time Jedinak took a free kick even the mere presence of Disco Nik made him spoon it over the bar!
At least Nik hits it with some power and sometimes LOOKS like he might score from a free kick, Caceras is poo from free kicks, my sister can kick it harder
I think it was Nik that took the best frre kick by a mariner. Brisbane Water end against Melbourne. Thumped in straight into Musc**t's balls. The ball goes wide and I think it was Petrie that put it away.

X2... great to see our club farewell a player like this... he showed alot of respect to the club AND the spectators the way he went around to all the fans after the game. Another reason why I love this club so much.... not likely that other clubs/players(especially a player of great importance to the team) would get a send off like that with the business end of the season nearing and the ACL to deal with too!!

I guess it makes the club more accommodating to celebrate a player leaving them, if they get a juicy transfer fee too.
No doubt, that if Mile had been a free agent and signed up to another club mid season, that the club would be less celebratory about the departure, no matter how hard working or respected he was. Good PR though to send him out on a good note and allow him to make a lap of honour.

I think its more to do with him going overseas to better his football career and not ditching the club, by going to a rival team that has also made his leaving more acceptable to the club and supporters.
