ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

lol, no, a mini tourny within Australia is what I meant.

And a HAL State of Origin would appeal to the NRL boofheads and maybe draw them in. QLD v NSW and Vic V SA the winner of those playing each other.

And both NSW v QLD and Vic v SA would be big games...the rivalry would flow over from NRL and AFL into this, especially if they marketed it properly, and they'd get big crowds, and I suspect lots of new viewers.

Not while the current TV contract is in place they wouldnt. Foxtel or nothing.

Football doesnt need these made for TV bullshit rivalries like SOO to try and market its products.

We have HAL, ACL, Socceroos.

Would love to see, in about 5 years, some sort of mini tournament, involving all the HAL players who have been sold over seas. Could be a very interesting showing of how the young guys with promise when they have leave, have become solid talented playes down the track

That's a great idea...After the HAL State of Origin they can play a Current All-star XI versus Legends All-Star XI

Clarification: I think mini tourney/state of origin are bad ideas that are at the very least unneccessary. As Fulham Mariner said, we have intercontinental and international competitions to look to...

We don't need hokey comps that may belie the contrived but accepted franchises of the A-league.

A good enough reason to overtly hate Hutcho in public for one game? Serious, you'd get the chance to go postal yelling things at him every time he had the ball........it has merits you know. ;) ;D (or do you do THAT now!  :-[ :-X )

We have Hutch, Mile not required IMO
Dumbest post ever. We havent won a game since Jedinak left. His departure cost us any chance of the minor premiership and we have liitle chance of getting past Qld in the finals. His transfer has been a disaster for the club. You are deluding yourself if you think otherwise.

Not a dumb post, maybe, just maybe Cruiser, there is a touch of sarcasm in the post!!

Disaster, that's a considerable over-statement. We are still in the finals, we can win, it's NOT Bear that is deluded. The money made will go to good use. Yes, I would rather he be here, but that's football.

Hint of sarcasm yes, but also truth. How many finals did the mariners play in before mile arrived, i ask you cruiser?

jumping in - we played in 4 finals matches before mile arrived (05/6 minor s/f h+a, pf, gf), and 3 after (07/8 major s/f h+a, gf).

that's a bit a rich coming from you mitchell  :p, considering that i was just reading a thread were you were 'giving it' to dibo for not allowing you your opinion of Sash is a JUDAS or to that effect for leaving to the Scum and that your NOT happy about. Dibo was telling YOU to 'get over it' in words to that effect and you weren't prepared to accept that...
.............yet you ask people here that aren't 'happy' about Mile leaving to do what Dibo asked of you , but won't.

perhaps you need to reconsider your thoughts & choose your words a little more carefully..... especially when they are at complete odds to words and thoughts you've just posted somewhere else  :-\

i dont believe dibo was not "allowing me" my opinion, to me it seemed he was trying to force his opinion on me, which is wrong. different to my comments here in this thread in so many ways

I'd love to see HAL Allstars V J-L/K-L all star teams (or do what the MLS does and do it in the Euro off season and try and get a half decent Euro Club down)

Now I like that idea. Increases our exposure in those markets, and maybe even a great scouting opportunity for recruitment, for both us and them.
