Apparently we are about to announce a new signing. A midfielder perhaps.
I hope he is a good one.
Connor Pain?
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Either Pain or Makarounas I would say. Pain hasn't improved in three seasons at Victory and all he has is pace. Disappointing from Mitch Austin when considering his future before we signed him (non league or NPL). Hoping beyond hope that it's Inman but that seems to be a pipe dream.Connor Pain?
Rumours we were in talks with Makarounas before though. Seems less like a swap and us just deciding to let Austin go. If it was a swap I would say Victory would have released a statement as well.It can't be Makarounas because he is no longer on Victory's books. Maybe Conor Pain?
You cant blame any player leaving after they gain some interest from other more proffesionally run clubs. We attracted some of the young players to the club as an opportunity to get exposure and that we are a 'selling club' then thats what we get...... so Victory will be playing Juventus soon.. more exposure and we will do a tour of canberra or orange..... Disappointing from Mitch Austin when considering his future before we signed him (non league or NPL).
Pain's an interesting one, would be a good pick-up IMO. He hasn't developed a lot at Victory over those three seasons but it's also fair to say he hasn't had the chance to crack it in a championship squad.Either Pain or Makarounas I would say. Pain hasn't improved in three seasons at Victory and all he has is pace. Disappointing from Mitch Austin when considering his future before we signed him (non league or NPL). Yes you can. He's contracted to the club and only had interest because he was given a chance. Can't see him being afforded the same latitude at any other club. You cant blame any player leaving after they gain some interest from other more proffesionally run clubs. There is nothing in that which indicates that there hasnt been a swap, in fact it suggests there has been given the new signing announcement to comehttp://www.ccmariners.com.au/articl...in-granted-release/1ldob0ny68t881ixfvsav8d4dm
“Mitch requested to terminate his contract which highlights why the FFA should re-consider the rules around transfer fees between Hyundai A-League Clubs, if not the smaller clubs are just going to develop players and lose them to bigger clubs with no compensation,” Storrie said.
Renewed Central Coast Mariners Members should keep an eye on their e-mails on Friday morning at 9:30am for the exclusive announcement of a new signing.
No swap, very ordinary business, will contain the rage until 9.30 when either gets better or worse
To be fair to the club, this way they get to make the point that the rules at present are perfect for the bigger clubs to tap up wantaway little shits and force the little clubs into deals they may not be that keen on.http://www.fourfourtwo.com/au/news/austin-and-pain-player-swap-deal
Mitch Austin is joining Melbourne Victory and Connor Pain is signing for Central Coast
Poor release announcement by CCM should have just done the swap notice at same time as MV.
Personally I like it. Connar is a more skilled player IMO and has stalled badly at MV. Considering Austin wanted out club has done some decent business here. Hope a 2 yr deal for pain is part of the deal
Still could have done that in a swap announcement. To be fair to the club, this way they get to make the point that the rules at present are perfect for the bigger clubs to tap up wantaway little shits and force the little clubs into deals they may not be that keen on.
In a better system, we'd at least be able to tell Victory to pay up or f**k off and then choose for ourselves who to get rather than having to shop from the maybe 6 or so Victory players they're happy to let go.
Didn't think Muscat would be big on porcelain Prima Donnas with no ticker.
