ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The defence set a wall just fine - the issue against City was Izzo walking away from responsibility and leaving one side open.

Thats not coaching.

The keeper sets the wall NOT the defence.
Surely they practice these things hundreds of times and the keeper knows where to stand??? I would have thought Nash would have showed him the videos from the 40 goals he let it from free kicks last season.
Obviously not but its pretty basic stuff.

We should be looking to sign up any coastie we can, as long as they're at A-League level. Oli coming come would be great.

The members facebook page cops quite a bit of flak, but it's a bit much when the same people that bag it start contributing to the problem.

More speculation that Izzo is leaving

"THE shock departure of Adelaide United’s longest serving player Eugene Galekovic is imminent and bound to rock the Reds to their foundations at the end of the season. While Marcelo Carrusca’s agent works hard to ensure the Argentine playmaker has options to continue his A-League career next season, Galekovic also appears to be on his way out of the Reds.“My situation is, I’m in season and my agent is dealing with my future right now,’’ Galekovic said. “As a player you’ve got to read in between the lines don’t you?“The club has signed another keeper and my agent will deal with my future and I just want to deal with the rest of the season.“That’s just the way it is right now.“It works both ways, you try to work things out but the club has signed someone else.“Right now I’m worried about Wednesday’s Champions League game.”
Adelaide is set to officially unveil Central Coast gloveman Paul Izzo — who was Galekovic’s understudy before gaining A-League experience with the Mariners over the past two seasons — as its new 2017/18 signing..."

Phil Moss saying on Kick Off last night that he "broke the bank" to bring Fabio to the club. Sounds like Fabio is on a significant sum considering his contract hasn't changed since then.

Rumour is he is being chased by the Drive-Bys. As a visa player and on 'break the bank' money it would be hard to justify keeping him. Especially when visa players are set to be cut to 4 and we have spine strengthening to do.

I'd like to keep him (him and Tavares are the only real quality we have) but not if he is on big bucks. Moss was a bit of a retard so god knows what he was paying him?

Fab no way deserves big bucks and was very very ordinary early in the season until unleashed in the middle, but still not got the timing for the passes.

Get a real #10 with the coin

Avraam Papadopoulos has been terrific for Brisbane and basically kept them in the game with Kashima as well as being pretty damn good against the Jets, considering he has had no gametime for a long time that is hugely impressive. He's only on an injury replacement contract for Luke Devere would love to see him with us next year, whatever Faty was on would surely be enough.
