Man, the vitriol that gets posted on here really disappoints me a lot of the time. Like Mick says, we can hold different views on something and still have a reasoned debate without resorting to some of the utter shite that gets posted on here by supposed adults.

It’s like some folks believe that being provocative and outrageous is enough to win an argument when in fact it just makes them look petulant and childish.

No, I haven't met them, and some I have no desire to meet. Calling those with different political views fascists, or slavishly needing approval from another for example already tells me plenty about their character.
You CAN suffer fools and be a good person. Trying to publicly humiliate someone for their views, rather than diplomatically correct them [see Joyful Penguin as a role model-clearly both intelligent and diplomatic] or send a private message to the same end can do the trick without the self aggrandisement.

Ozhammer didn’t see it that way. I think the issue rather lies with you and the way you interpret the world in black and white. This is obviously causing you internal angst.
