ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Squad - 2019-2020

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
And he shouldn't. Bloke's got a family to support and this may be his best payday for some time. Even if he loves the club, wants it to succeed and recognises a need I doubt many love it enough to effectively sacrifice 6 figures out of their own pocket and it would be massively unfair to expect it of him. The same with any number of overpaid players in recent years that dont have a comparable deal on the horizon.
I was being facetious o_O

I think Nisbet will be effective at HAL level. Possibly very effective. Great vision, touch and rides challenges well. Low centre of gravity actually makes him hard to knock off from what Ive seen. He’s fast on the ball, but most importantly he thinks even quicker. That more than anything often makes the difference between whether players of similar technical ability can cut it or not.

The regulation that allows Ingham's move from Mariners to Roar
Less than six weeks after pledging his allegiance to Central Coast Mariners on a two-year deal, Jai Ingham has terminated his contract by mutual consent and joined former club Brisbane Roar.

SIGNING NEWS: All of Brisbane Roar's Ins & Outs
AROUND THE GROUNDS: Roar turn it up to 11 in Gladstone

Ingham, a 25-year-old New Zealand international, came through the youth ranks of the Queenslanders and with an opportunity presenting itself to make a return, Alen Stajcic's Mariners granted him a release from the contract he penned on June 27, following his departure from Melbourne Victory on May 27.

The official FIFA regulation on the registration of players reads: 'Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs.

The regulation continues: 'As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in official matches for a third club during the relevant season, provided he has fully complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs.

Equally, the provisions relating to the registration periods (article 6) as well as to the minimum length of a contract (article 18 paragraph 2) must be respected.

Seems like a nothing article to me, not sure why they needed to post it. He wasnt registered to Victory in this season, and didnt play for either them or us in an official match. There shouldnt be any reason he can't move teams in January if thats what he and the roar want.

Fantastic news!
But does this mean it’s actually Lee Sang that’s not going to stick around? That’s a blow imo.

Big blow if we have lost Lee Sang - but as I mentioned earlier, the team has obviously identified it as a position that needs quality, and has allocated budget and a visa spot to fill it. Whether its filled with Lee Sang or another, I would expect it to be filled, and our position is looking stronger on a negotiation front than it did when Lee Sang would have been approached.

Time to give Karacan a call to see if he fancies another crack? :headbounce:

Excellent news getting the first Seoul brother over the line, fingers crossed the second one stays. I'm assuming we'll have both the new keeper and Kim ready for the next FFA cup match?

Excellent signing. A goalkeeper and quality DM sorted in 24 hours. Good business.

This comment was on reddit -

''Unless his form from his K League days died out, he is the best Korean player to come to A League, based on the performance he showed during his time there.

Great Central midfield with good hustle and tackle. I think he used to be a captain for Suwon Samsung, where Taggart and Antonis plays.

Amazing signing and excited to go to Gosford to watch him play.''

Not sure how much credence needs to be put into that, but if accurate, exciting times.
