ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

However, this would be a good experience for the team and hopefully they will learn from this game.
Are you kidding?

Next you'll be saying that it was the loss we had to have!

No problem. Was my pleasure.
We strive in creating a less plastic league and more rights to active support.  :innocent:

I take it from the lack of condemnation of the flare that people either approved or have held back.  As far as I'm concerned, the brain-dead f**k who brought it into the stadium and let it off can f**k off and never come back.  If you get the club a big fine from FFA or AFC, how clever is that?  I hope someone identifies you and the club takes action you wanker!

Considering my restraint of late, I propose the "Serious Rant" be re-named the "Razorback Rant".

Fair, no??  :p

FWARZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Did note though, serious14 wearing a ROO's shirt at the game. Did also note, he was raggin' on people for wearing club shirts at national games.

Can confirm, he is a knob.

HB by the way.

Thankyou dear, nice to see you havn't lost your edge.  :p

Australia shirt at an _Australian_ club game - no divisiveness caused.  Not to mention the colors are nearly the same in our case.  Didn't see you ragging on the other randoms wearing the same thing.  ;)  Club shirts at a national team game = never ending arguments, antagonistic behaviour, plus none of those clubs are being represented (at Properoos games anyway).

Here goes nothing.

I think this might well be "the loss we had to have"

We were humiliated last night and responded by just giving up. Our worst ever defeat the 1st time we played a team way beyond us in terms of ability - we just chose not to compete.

The 1-5 against Sydney in V1 was set against Meggsi getting a red card early (and I still think it was harsh) - this time, it was 11 v 11 and we bottled the challenge.

I think this might prompt the club to go and have a good hard look at its recruitment and the attitude of some established players (like those who got 3 years wages for doing nothing perhaps).

Life is about making mistakes - success is about learning from them. If we dont, or deny that there is a problem. Then maybe times will have to get worse before someone acts.

I thought it was great. Bright & pretty.

It was also a laugh when the first security guy turned up & picked it up while it was still flaring & tried to put it in the bucket of sand!!

I know what the bucket of sand was for, the fact that he tried to pick it up while it was still on FIRE I found amusing

I agree with the above. We have been shockingly bad for the whole of 2009. How long are we going to continue along this path before we say enough is enough? Can anyone genuinely say things are alright the way things are?

We're at the crossroads right now. We can continue down this path or our owners can say, enough is enough. I'm beginning to seriously doubt our coach has the answers to turn things around. I think he's out of ideas and doesn't know what to do.

And before those that say "he's not the one making the pass or marking the goal post", professional football is all about confidence and on evidennce during 2009, Lawrie hasn't been able to change a thing. It's time for a fresh approach and new ideas.
