Rumour doing the rounds on SFCU (started apparently on Gloryboys) is that Holman's coming back to Perth.

All rumour imo, and a terrible 1 at that

Article from perth said that secretly in sydney this week perth signed a socceroo. You would have to think coyne. But maybe holman on loan?

Also said they were looking in europe for a marquee, withsage wanting to splash cash no that his co-owners are gone and he doesnt have to go through them.

Could possibly be Sterkovski? We're all guessing at the moment. Good on Perth though. Very important for the HAL as a whole they are strong and challenging for the title.

Chippers perhaps?

Chippers said he was staying in europe another year. So doubt it was him.

Plus he wants to be close to Wollongong if/when he returns

I heard a strong rumour that Sterjovski was offered a decent wage by Perth so wouldn't be surprised if it were him.

this won't happen:

Shamed Rangers and Scotland midfielder Barry Ferguson is in line for a move to the A-League, with three clubs believed to want the player for the 2009-2010 season and beyond.

Fergusons former Rangers teammates Craig Moore and Charlie Miller will try to tempt the player to Queensland Roar, The Sun reported in Scotland on Tuesday.

North Queensland Fury manager Ian Ferguson, another former teammate of the 31-year-old, is also poised to swoop, the paper reported.

And Perth Glory manager David Mitchell, a striker with Rangers in the 1980s, is believed to want Ferguson as his "marquee summer signing".

Ferguson made headlines recently when he was stripped of the Rangers and Scotland captaincy after his boozing and V-sign antics.

Ferguson and Rangers and Scotland teammate Allan McGregor were involved in a drinking session at the national team's hotel following the team's World Cup qualifying loss to the Netherlands, and the pair subsequently enraged team management by apparently making V-signs while on the bench after being dropped for the 2-1 win over Iceland at Hampden Park.

Ferguson seems likely never to play again for Rangers again, while Scottish Football Association chiefs have banned the player from the national team for life.

Barclays Premier League club Fulham, Russian Premier League champions Zenit St Petersburg and cashed-up clubs in Qatar have also been linked with Ferguson.

good signing for sydney:

Sydney FC have completed the signing of A-League championship-winning defender Sebastian Ryall from A-League rivals Melbourne Victory.

The 20-year-old Young Socceroos captain is on a two-year deal and will join fellow new signing, Slovak international Karol Kisel, for the start of pre-season training on April 27.

Ryall played 30 games in his two-year stint in Melbourne and played in the Victory's grand final win over Adelaide in February.

"I'm very grateful for the opportunity Melbourne gave me but I've always wanted to play for my home town, so I'm very happy to be back," said Ryall.

"I must confess when I was younger I used to go and watch (Sydney) and I was even in the Cove when they won the (inaugural) grand final against the Central Coast, so I was a fan before I went to Melbourne and it's exciting to be part of the team."

he was mentioned on the Sydney FC site as training with GCU.....so I guess that means he's been dumped by us.

No way Barry Ferguson will come, he could still get a decent gig in Europe.

How about that training pitch in the Gold Coast pics?
I know they have a few nets around but one shank and the ball would end up in the drink! lol

Maybe it was just a setting for the cameras, with the idyllic canal scenery in the background? Looks like some rich dude's backyard, fronting onto one of those rich people's estate canals they have up there.
