Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hull City forward Richard Garcia tops Adelaide United's wish-list

Hull City forward Richard Garcia tops Adelaide United's wish-list as they sweep the United Kingdom in search of a marquee marksman and young support acts.

Reds' assistant coach Phil Stubbins, a former Hull City midfielder, is in the middle of a two-week scouting mission that has featured meetings with Hull boss Phil Brown.

Socceroo Garcia, 27, remains in United's sights which - through conduit Stubbins are intent on establishing close ties that would see players moving between Hindmarsh and the Premier League club.

"Richard Garcia is someone who did a great job for himself in becoming a premiership player and has done a decent job this season," said Stubbins, buoyed by Jason Culina's decision to leave PSV Eindhoven for start-up A-League franchise Gold Coast United.

"If he decides to come back to Australia it would be good to be able to use our association to get him to Adelaide. All these things are possible, it is just about timing."

The Reds are presently concentrating their quest to replace retired marquee striker Paul Agostino and midfield magician Diego in England and Scotland.

Stubbins hit the ground running last week in Yorkshire - assisted by old friend, former Hull defender and physio Mick Matthews in gaining access to gun manager Brown and his Tiger tactics.

"It's fantastic to pick Phil's brain and chat," said Stubbins, noting Brown steered Hull from relegation danger in the 2006-2007 championship to an inaugural Barclays Premier League campaign in 2008-2009.

"Forming a personal relationship with Phil Brown means the possibilities could be endless. It's good for United, you never know what can happen in terms of associations.

"Mick's been a fantastic first point of call. It's great to watch Hull City train, look at their structures, medical staff, the sports science side of things and preparation to play opposition."

Having succeeded in luring left-back Scott Jamieson, 20, from Blackburn Rovers, Stubbins hopes to attract young, ambitious forwards to Hindmarsh.

but its good to see others are trying to establish partnerships with overseas clubs
