ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

WE DID IT!!!!!

Well done, everyone!

Too many great things happened last night, can't get my head around it all.  Completely star struck by the talent, heart and enthusiasm of our boys.

Boy, was it tense or what?!!  I may have a stomach ulcer.

So sweet of Kwassie to throw his boots into Bay 16 then come into the Leagues Club after the game.  Mum and my Aunty Ethel are mental Kwassie fans and they were loving his performance!

Still laughing at a clever call from Bay 16. Someone shouted at Covic, 'You're only half of Vukovic!'

Hope everyone took their scarves to work today.

For me, the most telling sight was during the intermission before extra time started. The whole of Bay 16 were on our feet, chanting and clapping and waving our banners  :eek:verhead: :pirate:, while looking over to The Scumdron it was quiet as. This was when they were still a chance at pulling the rug from under us and their fans were already acting like they were beaten. That was the moment when I thought "We've got this mob!"

Sucked in Jets scum! The four of us in my group copped a tirade of verbal abuse outside Energy Australia two weeks ago ... that is karma for you! I always had faith in turning around the tie and the performance of the boys on the night was just outstanding.

Nobody let the team down. One moment of the game that stood out for me as pure passion and determination was Tony Vidmar's 80 metre attacking run down the pitch in the first half of extra time. It was inspirational to say the least!

Outside the ground was just exhilirating. It was a party on the streets of Gosford, it was just a moment where you felt damn proud to be a Mariners fan. And nothing was more fun that giving the 12 year old Jets "ultras" with scarves covering their faces a tonne of shit at Gosford Station post-game!

....

On a different note, I think it is imperative for the state of football in Queensland, and the A-League in general, that they qualify for the Grand Final and Champions League. It would be nice to see a 25000 average at Suncorp next season.

the one thing that will stick in my mind was when we started "stand up for the mariners" chant early in extra time and i looked over  to my left to the grandstand and the whole section...STOOD UP!!!!! holy shite i thought we got 'em to join in ... the whole joint was rockin, and afterwards outside in the street..WELL...if you told me 10 years ago that 20,000 football fans would be celebrating a central coast team making the GF out front of the CCLC in 2008, i woulda got ya head read...... and now all that remains is the fact that.....

[size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt]WE GOT A GF TO WIN...FIRE UP FARKIN!!!!!!

:pirashoot: :pirashoot: :pirashoot: :pirashoot:

:piralaugh: Funny when you think how cocky the Scum were before this game. It wasn't a case of "What will it take to win this game?" so much as "What will it take to lose this game?" Walking out of the ground last night, for the first time in my life I found myself yelling that most awful of profanities:

"QUEENSLANDER!"

That win was part one of the karma for the bunch of newcastle supporters that mobbed my mate and knocked out his tooth whilst waiting for me near the station before the game..

Part two will happen in a fortnight..

The "stand up for the mariners" chant was amazing! the most successfull i have seen! looked awesome! GO MARINERS!!!

I loved when Danny fired up the bay before extra time as well

I loved it when Lawrie stood there firing up Bay 6 & 7 in extra time to keep chanting .... Off, off!! ... when Gollum (North) was down for the count.

unbelievable!

i got to the kendall yesterday and murphs asked me if i was nervous. i said yes, and then later when i was thinking about it a bit more i actually figured i wasn't at all. we weren't expected to get through, we weren't expected to be able to keep a clean sheet. then when we did it in front of a near record crowd it was just the most magical experience. lucky for me the laws of gravity still applied because otherwise i surely would've floated out over the field and been thrown out by ms. fernandez et al.

so much of last night all i could say was 'faaaaark...'. it was all just too much to take in.

have started a picture thread, so all your crazy pics can go in there.

Hi all    Great day  - and not much voice to speak of!.  Just went out to lunch at Terrigal and there are a few of the boys grabbing a coffee etc around town.  Great to see people working past and stopping to congratulate hme and just walking past and saying "well done boys" or similar.  I think the first GF was a bit of a novelty and we did not really know what we were part of.  This means a hell of a lot more and it is getting " non-Mariner folk"  talking about it and it is a gr8 for the Coast. Lawrie, Alex and the boys should be be very proud of what they have achieved this year - I know I am !

Lawrie fired up bay 16 at the end of the game, that is the most meaningul mariner moment for me so far. There is none like him in the league and he has to be on short odds for manager of the year

You serious?  What is it with Jets fans? They're like sperm- they only have a 1/1 million chance of ever becoming a human being.

YEAH!!  Lawrie's the best!  Just watched the press conference video on ccmariners.com.au.  In honour of the great Lawrie McKinna I'm gonna try to talk in a Scottish accent all day today.

A couple of guys took it too far and threw punches, resulting in my mates night being ruined before the game even started!! He solidiered on though and obviously ended up having a great night minus his front tooth!!! The got away because there was so many of them the police couldnt do anything which was a shame!!!

That really sucks HOWEVER it's so very important that we dont get sucked in by this type of behaviour and start doing similar things back at Jets supporters or anyone else for that matter. Not only can we be the greatest football team in the A-League (PREMIERS and CHAMPIONS!) but we supporters can do our team proud by also being the best in the A-League.
