Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

last night was the most ive ever celebrated anything, it was going off in the bay's (i was in 17) and after the game was crazy. Ill be getting 10 tickets to take some more mates down to sydney, took 5 to newy and 4 last night and they loved it, mariner's fan base is definatly expanding, i think due to the atmosphere we provide, maybe even more than the football to be honest. cant wait for sydney.

It was an awesome atomsphere after the game near the leagues club we were mentioning that if that was a nrl game then it would of never been like that.

The Mariners have brought the community of the coast together with this season and i cannot wait to buy my tickets on Thursday for the GF.

Also whoever has the seats i sat in on Bay 6 right near where they run out i am super jealous they were the best ever seats ive got for any event.

How good did it feel to wake up this morning and remember that awesome game last night and think excitedly to yourself "we're in the Grand Final". I cant stop smiling. :vhappy:

I hope Newcastle beats Qld next weekend 'cause I love the way that this derby rivalry keeps getting bigger and better. What better way than a GF to add more spice to it. A Mariners v Jets GF will hopefully sell out the SFS. I'd love to see that stadium packed out with the yellow clad and poo clad armies.

Phwoar.

As if the players turned up for the game and everything.

Superb run infield from Kwasnik, and whether he got the final touch to it or not, it was real class to get there in the first place. The spin on the ball did make it look a bit more like a deflection though.

As for Petrovski, the first was good reactions (even if it was very nearly offside), but his second was simply amazing, and part of a fully deserved win.

Jets were woeful. Their passing wasn't working, and even at 2-0, they were still gifting Mariners golden opportunities to wrap the game up - only our poor finishing meant we went to ET at all.

But wahey!

Last nite when leaving the stadium, who do you think was getting interveiwed behind bay 29?? None other than Con Constantine !!! A group of us spotted the big boffhead and started chanting " 2 - nil and they f**ked it " the lady interviewing him just started laughing, but not as much as we were !!!!!! Like the rest of the Northern scum he sulked out of the stadium VERY quiet! Also Mr james holland snuck through the club's carpark after everyone had gone, well almost everyone. my kids and I sent him home with a rendition of " your a Bogan, a smell bogan" SOOOO pumped after the game glad i took the night off.

GO MARINERS AND LONG LIVE THE YELLOW ARMY !!!!!

As I said in another thread, last night was the greatest of my footballing life including my trips to the famed Elland Road as a supporter of Leeds United.

Why was it better than our first Grand Final appearance though?

Look at the pictures.

The Central Coast people were as one last night. Before and after the game were moments that will live with me forever. There was a "us against them" mentality from the 5 year old who was going to his first game to the 90 year old retiree who has followed football his whole life.

We went in to this game and NO ONE gave us a chance. No one. The only people who believed we could this was the players, the coaching staff, our fabulous administration and the fans. Our backs were to the wall and we showed that fighting spirit that goes hand-in-hand with the Central Coast Mariners.

I admit, that third goal brought a tear to my eye - as it did with a whole lot of people who where cheering their heart out. Hell, this awesome young family in front of us attending their first game turned around and said "what have we been missing out on! we'll be back every game next season!"

I saw kids in Aloisi jerseys as opposed to the 1000's of Manchester United or Chelseas jerseys we saw in the first couple of versions more often than not.

Football has arrived on the Central Coast. Our membership base will grow ten fold next season. We have captured the heart of entire region, for that, we should be proud.

I have never been prouder as a Central Coast Mariner fan than I was last night.

To the game ...

I cannot fault one player. Every single player tried his ass off. Aloisi didn't get on the score sheet again after missing some chances, it happens to the best of them. Johnny A is a big time player and he will be at his very best on Grand Final night, that you can be assured. Whilst he didn't score, his presence was felt.

Danny Vukovic - I am really gonna' miss him when he is signed to a European club. This guy is all passion. I love watching him in goal. His heart is on his sleeve and he is first class between the sticks.

What about our defenders, the unsung heros more often than not. Vidmar - brilliant. Boogs - took another step forward to greatness last night. Wilko - inspirational captain's dig. Clarkey - you gotta' love this guys heart.

I could go on and on. I won't. Who reads this long, long posts! lol

My last word goes to Lawrie McKinna. I have said it before, I will say it again, this guy has a contract for life. I shook my head when I read from a MARINERS FAN that he should be let go as he cannot get the job done - where are you now doubter? The coaching performance of McKinna this season will go down in Mariners folklore.

The Packers had Lombardi, Manchester United Sir Alex Fergurson, Brisbane Bronco's Wayne Bennett - the Central Coast Mariners have Lawrie McKinna :D

BRING ON THE GRAND FINAL - WE ARE GOING FOR THE CLEAN SWEEP AND THEN ON TO CLAIM THE TREBLE IN ASIA!

Absolutely superb! Talk about stepping up when the pressure was on.

The boys were fired up from the first second, and were first to the ball all night. The hunger they had was amazing. Well done to all.

What a wonderful atmosphere - everyone near us were screaming their heads off at the end!

Make some room for the toilet seat!

Watched the best game ever from bay 28 last night (right next to the jets fans) and as me and +1 sat down the jets fan next to me managed to spill a little of his beer on me. That set it up for an interesting night.

Soon after he and his mates started giving me a little ribbing about the chances of a GF birth. As the Mariners scored their first I began to give him and his mates shit about how poorly their team were playing and the non stop sledging began. Each time the Mariners scored after making sure he will be deaf in one ear this morning I was in perfect position to turn around a gee up the whole jets squadron. Hundreds of stunned mullets looking at me giving them sh!t and having nothing to cheer about all game gave me the greatest of pleasure. The beer spilling jets fan actually rang his mate in the Marinators and asked me to stand up and give him a wave. I'm sure he was happy to know that his mate was not missing out on that being in the middle of the Marinators feeling.

Christ I had a great night and to the Jets fan I hope you ears alright today because my vioce certainly is'nt.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
:popo: All the naysayers in the press had us beat before we got to the game....well...THEY GOT THAT WRONG.....
Sasho showed up to play, as did all the boys..Vooks had f'n magnets in his gloves (not that the Jests bothered him that much) Old favourite ANDRE had a pearler IMO, AHHH SHIT everyone had a pearler..Checkers went off injured and he outplayed those dopes from the dressing room.

I was wondering at one point to myself if Garry Van Eggonface knew the heimlich manouver cause with the amount of choking going on last night he needed to know it.

Bluetongue itself was on fire BLUE & YELLOW as far as the eye could see ( except for that bay fulla skidmarks of course) ... the one thing that will stick in my mind was when we started "stand up for the mariners" chant early in extra time and i looked over  to my left to the grandstand and the whole section...STOOD UP!!!!! holy shite i thought we got 'em to join in ... the whole joint was rockin, and afterwards outside in the street..WELL...if you told me 10 years ago that 20,000 football fans would be celebrating a central coast team making the GF out front of the CCLC in 2008, i woulda got ya head read...... and now all that remains is the fact that.....

[size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt]WE GOT A GF TO WIN...FIRE UP FARKIN!!!!!!
