I think today we witnessed the final humiliation/lowest point of one Mr. John Aloisi...... until next week of course.

That image above just makes me tear up.....it's really hard to look at.

In my last post I said the John was a NARCICCIST , can you imagine how it must have felt to be him yesterday?
You could see the hurt and pain in his eyes.
I really hated what he did the week before and the way he reacted to scoring the second attempt at the penalty. And I think he surely must be regreting that action now.

To hear those frustrated Sydney fans boo Aloi$i was really hard  for even me to take!...I know John gets big bucks for playing and he needs to perform. But heck the guy is also human.
I know others must have felt as I did, just so sadden that fans could treat the man they believed was going to be hero in this manner..
You know Vinnie made a number of big mistakes, one major one in the grand final last year that I recall, but we didn't boo him.

Did you all notice also, that each time Kossie was shown on the screen, he was boo'd also?
I think sydney have a real problem now....
How can they put John on the pitch? if each time a ball goes to him he is boo'd ?
image the effect and influence that has on his team, and club spirit.
And on A league.
I feel for his team mates also...having their own fans booing constantly through their game..
Yet if they don't play him, the club will look silly for not standing by their investment that they threw big money at.

I guess if Aloi$i hadn't talked himself up so big, and the club bragging how they stole this great talent from the Mariners, they wouldn't be in the position they are now...

I think there is a big lesson we can all take from this...

And that lesson is......

Sydney fc deserve every bit of flack they cop. There expectations of themselfs sets them up for the big fall, and I for one have no sympathy for anyoe involved with the club at all.

Here Here!

Aloisi is robbing domestic Australian football blind. Sydney's finances have always been precarious, but to pay Aloisi 1.4 million dollars when he is literally putting fans off from coming to games (along with Kosmina) is ludicrous.

Why is Aloisi robbing Australian Football blind George? It's a mistake for Sydney FC to promote themself above and beyond everybody else, like they have done since day 1.

I'm agree with Bearinator's views on Sydney. They deserve every brickbat they get for overspending and big noting themselves.

I saw a match review yesterday on one of the websites about Sydney's loss to Perth. Barely a mention of Perth - who must have got their shit together to win as convincingly as the scoreboard suggests. All about Sydney's woes continue etc. etc. The media whoring to Sydney continues I'm afraid, no one is prepared to call their bluff and tell it like it is - they bought all these players this year, and only a couple have proven themselves, AGAIN.

I am hoping that the new majority owner takes a good close look at what's going on with his investment, through his mate Ramsay, and starts changing the culture within that club for the better.

They've sunk $1.4m into someone who was injured at the time and has not come back as good as before, they bought Juninho the season before and had him sit out a good number of games injured with a shoulder that they knew about, and they bought Zdonkey for an outrageous amount of money for someone who was never going to rise to the level of A-League once it raised the quality of play a notch.

As for Aloisi, no I don't think he's robbing Football in Australia blind, but he's showing us all what the flip side to being the 'consummate professional' is all about.

That is, turning up and smiling for cameras, smoothing over his inadequacies at the moment with charming smaltzy "I just need a decent run and I'll bang 'em in" type of talk, playing the ex Socceroo and THAT penalty talk all the time, reminding everyone how good he used to be and adding he could still do it, etc. He's the perennial showman who doesn't know when it's best to pack up his marquee tent and go home.

If Sydney could find a way to release him next season, I think they will. But I believe he's signed for two seasons, so they are stuck with him?

I'm with FFC Mariner too. If someone paid me a ridiculous sum of money to turn up to work and trudge along, I'd take it too. I'm predicting it maybe Aloisi's last season, retirement may be calling after the horrid season he's had.

Keensy, I'd do the job for 10% of that sum, a week, and still be a happy camper. Shows how obscene some salaries get I suppose, lol.

Fans boo Sydney FC in loss to Perth

Fans turned on Sydney FC and their million-dollar striker John Aloisi after Sunday's 4-1 loss to Perth but coach John Kosmina was staying positive as the A-League side's season hit a new low.

Goals to Adriano Pellegrino, Wayne Srhoj and own goals by Sydney defenders Antony Golec and Robbie Middleby helped Perth secure a vital victory which moved them to within one win of the top four.

Fifth-placed Sydney, whose only goal came from Stuart Musialik, were again booed by their fans and now need a significant form reversal over the last five rounds to reach the finals.

Summing up their performance was a dreadful showing by marquee striker John Aloisi, who produced arguably the worst miss seen in the A-League before being booed off as a 55th-minute substitute.

The Socceroos striker had already missed one great chance in the first half before squandering a glorious opportunity to put Sydney back in the game when they were trailing 2-0 just before halftime.

Aloisi, who has scored only two goals in 14 games this season, looked certain to tap in from one metre out after Perth 'keeper Tando Velaphi had parried away an Alex Brosque shot.

But a seemingly unbalanced Aloisi failed to even get a touch on the ball with an open goal at his disposal and he was immediately booed by the crowd of just over 12,000.

He was hauled off in the 55th minute and sat slumped in his chair for the rest of the match.

Kosmina said he had not spoken to Aloisi and refused to guarantee him a start next week.

"There's not much you can say is there," Kosmina said of Aloisi's performance.

"That's how it goes sometimes, when things aren't falling for you, they're not falling for you."

Some of the crowds jeers also appeared to be directed at Kosmina and some fans even chanted former coach Terry Butcher's name at one stage.

"They pay their money, they're entitled to have their say aren't they?" Kosmina said.

"There's not much you can do about it."

Sydney did dominate possession and had 10 corners to one in the first half but could not capitalise.

The Glory grabbed the opener against the run of play in the 11th minute when Pellegrino turned in a Nikita Rukavytsya cross and it was 2-0 when the ball went in off Golec's thigh in the 34th minute.

The nightmare continued three minutes into the second half when Srhoj produced a wonder strike from outside the box to put the Glory up by three before Musialik also produced a stunner in the 60th.

That gave Sydney some hope of a comeback but those were killed off when Middleby fired a header into his own net from a Pellegrino cross in the 69th minute.

Kosmina again stood firm and refused to admit his side had played poorly, believing his side had "battered" the Glory.

"We battered them mainly, I hate to see the stats," Kosmina said.

"What I put (the loss) down to is we missed two sitters and we scored two own goals."

"It was good football though, you can't complain about that."

Glory coach Dave Mitchell said his side now had the belief it could go on to reach the finals.

LOL, Alosi got booed

To be honest I believe he purchased a unit at the Star of the sea place...... I am happy to be corrected but that was the rumor last year
