ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The official Aloisi is a disrespectful arrogant f**kwit of a human being thread

Isn't half the fun of football an irrational hatred of anyone who has wronged your club in the past, no matter how major or minor??

:goodpost: I have an irrational hatred of the Scum, which is much the same thing I suppose. Although what they did in Newcastle to get the NSL franchise was a 1,000 times more disgusting and unprofessional than what Aloi$i did.

I'm just not convinced that the punishment fits the crime in Aloi$i's case. As Keensy says, I can just ignore this thread.

I have to laugh at the last comment Keensy said though, about Aloi$i could have shown some class. That could apply equally to some of the extreme posts in this thread too! But with my occasionally irrational posts about the Scum, it's a bit of Pot-Kettle-Black all round, so I'll leave it at that.

What did they do in Newie to get the NSL team???

If things were handled with a bit more thought and respect, the Breakers would have continued their long tradition in the top flight. But no, a lot of underhanded dealings saw the franchise taken off the Breakers and given to Con Constantine so he could create his cardboard Club from his mobile phone and car (his cronies words).

The Breakers lost everything - the players, the staff, the stadium, the licenced club. A lot of businesses lost big money, and many people lost their jobs.

Many of the vocal supporters walked away in disgust at what happened. A lot have never returned to football, others now follow the Mariners.

Played a couple of rep games at their old stadium (I think its a dog track now?)....... they were the days....

Its a cross all Fulham players have to bear TBH. Do you know that England have NEVER (like ever) won the World Cup without a Fulham player in the side (and no Chavs either).

Does that get mentioned ever, nooooooooooo

I enjoy the fact that England went to Mexico in '86 without a single Liverpool player in the squad :tv: :piralaugh:

We were cheated in the QF's as opposed to just simply losing in the quarters (like we usually do).

Closest we have been since '66 is the semi's in 1990 - nearest to a Fulham player was Paul Parker who had (sadly for English football) moved to Manure by then, thereby invoking the "only win it with an FFC player" rule.

Still, a Chelsea player lost us the WC in 1970........Bonetti, one poor game, forever vilified.

Mr Celery - The issue with Aloi$i is as others have stated that when he signed for us he talked about how the Mariners were the only other team his brother said he should join (apart from Sheep shaggers) then he talks about building a community team and how he loves our community, how he doesn't want to be anywhere else. Then whats he do - leaves for about $100k more than we offer. (I am led to believe he was ready to sign when his manager asked SFC what they would offer him knowing what our bid was) - Then when he signs he talks about winning and being in a team that can win things. Sorry - we were Premiers last year, we are in Asia not SFC, it just throws it back at the Mariners and the supporters.

Yes - he was very professional whilst with us but the way he left was not. If you want an EPL example of how a player can leave for bigger money and club look at Tevez. When he goes back to West Ham every season they applaud him. Similarly we applaud Tommy P - its all about the way you conduct yourself and he has not done so in the right way.....

I am also sick and tired of hearing he was the guy who got us to the world cup -- FFS it was Mark Scwarzer who got us there.
Thank you Jaypee. I agree with everything you say - well said, espcially the last para - it pisses me off that Aloi$i get's all the glory for all of Schwarzers great, hard match winning work.

Probably the post of the year so far by jaypee - summed it up succinctly.

How would we tell, as we hadn't met every Breakers fan before the shafting.

I personally know 10.

The Scum failed in their marketing IMO. I don't know why the hell they decided to go with that gold colour. It (as has been well-documented) looks more like s**t brown on the field, and in the stands too. I know the A-League started off with this weird insistence that every club have one primary colour, but surely Con could've successfully campaigned to keep the NU colours of red and blue? That would have looked much, much better than the colour they ended up with, and made more sense considering the seats at EAS are all red and blue.

The scum simply failed.

Newcastles colours arent red/blue traditionally. Green/Brown/White ring bells anyone?

I expect Con wanted to distance himself from what he did to the Breakers?

B1 will be back but don't think he will be in yellow so B1 may have to change - all will be revealed at the reveal (MUFC players know what I mean)
