ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Is Arnie going to live on The Coast?

looking for a house at terrigal

What is it about Terrigal?  Much better places; that perhaps don't make good coffee and have bars I suppose.

Avoca has it over Terrigal for village atmosphere and and beach by a mile. Place to be seen, I guess. I think we had a thread on this earlier this last year.

Edit: Sorry, still in 2009 mode

and north avoca has it over avoca and terrigal

much cheaper and not full of tourists
Just full of Vaucluse wannabe's !

I've met more stuck up snobs and tossers from that part of the coast than any other place I've worked.

It reminds me of the time I heard the East Gosford "Local" (sea changer more like it) proclaiming that East Gosford was the new Double Bay". It made me want to throw up in their soy latte

You mean our crappy, souless stadium by the water  ;)

I kinda like our wee stadium, where you can get close enough to recognise the players without binoculars. Reminds me of when I was a young bloke (a long time ago) and I used to go watch the footy at our local oval with maybe 50 or 60 other spectators. This was out in the bush of course, probably would have been a couple of hundred if it had been played in Hobart.
The big mausoleums like SFS and Olympic stadium are a great atmosphere when they're chockers, but pretty bloody awful when they're not.

Unless of course you're behind the goals...

SFS is worse behind the goals but better from the sidelines. Nothing touches Adelaide though - close to the action from everywhere. If we were ever to build a ground of our own, that would have to be the most desirable model, just build it somewhere where you can build it up all the way around.

I was at the Adelaide match where we came from 3-nil down to snatch a draw. The away bay was close enough to the action to see the smirk that was on Eugene's face at 3-0 totally wiped off when he was beaten for the 3rd time to get us a draw. It was almost close enough to taste his tears of anguish... lol

Nah, Bay 17's good. Don't want the other end built up, it's great when things are going to hell in a gurney on the pitch you can look up and enjoy the lights across Brisbane Water. I've looked at Brisbane Water a lot this season  :'(

+1  ... and when the cameras pan over Bris Waters, with the palms in the foreground, you instantly know it's Gosford and that it's Bluetongue. The view has become quite iconic ... sort of like you know you are at Belrieve Oval when the cameras pan over to the Derwent. What do you see at Scumcastle, Tardland, Welly. Furrieland, Fold Coast or even Bling City? I know it's not fiscally relevent or logical in respect to playing the game of footbal, however it is sort of nice.... until the Tuggerah move (when ever that happens).

Agree, but if foreshore redevelopment plans that I saw mentioned get up all you'll be looking at are the backs of buildings.

These redevelopment plans have been mooted for many years... going by Gosford Council's track record on decision making and building approval, I think we are pretty safe for the next ten years.
