ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A merch suggestion for the club perhaps?

Come out with an Arnie edition of this:

Sorry El Chupacabra but I had to remove your article as this is a Jess Fink free forum.

I have read the story and whether I agree with him or not it is typical Fink bullshit - poorly written, based on little substance and full of hearsay and opinion.

Those of us who know Micky Brock will take this from FNSW web site with a 'grain of salt':

"View from the Top Phil Moss
29.03.10 14:55

Manly United coach Phil Moss has seen his side off to an indifferent start to the 2010 NSWPL campaign with two draws, two wins and a loss in the first five matches so what does he put this down to?

Our pre-season preparation was disrupted and an indifferent start for us is fair to say but it has been due to injuries to key players such as Craig Midgely, Joey Schirripa and others and we brought in some of our younger players and the step up is a large one when thrown in at the deep end and that affected our results but cannot be used as an excuse.

We are getting players back now so that should bring some consistency back to the side and well look ahead to the rest of the season.

Moss has been linked with A-League coaching positions such as Adelaide United and has again been touted to join up with Graham Arnold, now Head Coach at Central Coast Mariners after the departure of Lawrie McKinna, with the rumour mill going into persistent overdrive.

First and foremost I am committed to Manly United and I am fortunate to have a good job at a good club and the Association is terrific who employ me in a full time capacity so I consider myself very lucky.

Of course it is flattering to be linked with the A-League and I would be lying if I said I wouldnt relish the opportunity as it is something I am aiming for in the future but I would only leave Manly United if the right offer came along but Yes, I would like a crack at the bigger league of course.

However, I am happy where I am at the moment and we have a good crop of youngsters coming through and I would like to think that if I were to leave, (paving the way for Midgely to take over the reins one suspects?), I like to believe I would be leaving the club in a better state than when I arrived and that is down to the hard work of the behind the scenes staff, the Association and not least the players as we have again been fortunate to have had some terrific lads here.

Mossy has been speaking with Arnold of course as he has the highest respect for the guy as a coach, a player and as a friend he states: Arnie and I go back to Northern Spirit days as you know Brockie because you were there also and we do talk and catch up often but that isnt to say its anything to do with leaving Manly United.

The smart money will be on the lad linking up with Arnold on the Central Coast at some stage but whether that is before the end of this season or later is the real question and it would be the ideal opportunity for a lad who deserves to be at the highest level with his enthusiasm, dedication and knowledge and an Arnold/Moss partnership, successful in the past, may well prove fruitful in the future.

Only time will tell  but if I were a betting man I would not only say it will happen but add about time too!

Watch this space.

So, Arnold's in.

What system is he playing?
Who's he planning on using where?
How's he got the team playing?

Any goss?

Am dying to talk about some real football now that the season is just around the corner.

On monday was 442 with a very narrow diamond midfield according to reports - interestingly he played a while with 10 men to get them used to different situations

433 at pluim against lightning.

Under the national curriculum the diamond 4-4-2 would probably be described as a 'triangle pointing backwards' 4-3-3 and the 4-3-3 would be the 'triangle pointing forwards' 4-3-3.

I'm most concerned about our striker combinations. Very happy with Mc Breen.
Keeps proving the doubters wrong. Worked best with Kwassie so far that I have seen.
McBreen/Matty combo will hopefully do better, but it was not much chop the other night.
Nor Matty/Kwassie. But only going off a couple of games.

However I still think we need someone with pace who turns quickly and above all makes very intelligent runs as a striking combo option.

We went most of last season with two battleships up front and it didn't do us a lot of good. I would rather see a battleship flanked by a destroyer or two.
