ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Interesting point Eggy.

We are louder and better when we stop trying to be nice and family friendly and actually behave like supporters.

Active support goes against everything the FFA and their "matchday experience" wankfest wants.

I am not trying to promote anti social behaviour but we need to get less "compliant"

Did you ever know, that you're my hero?

Ok, Bay 2 is Non-Alcohol.

Bay 1 then?

Or Bay 3? Or is Bay 3 too close to the fancy-pants supporters?

Bay 2 people have to put up with Sacko throwing his empties down on them

Actually for the ACL we are in Bay 36!

As I don't want you hoodlums clogging up our private bar, I think you should use Bay 10 instead and leave taunting the away supports to the real firm in Bay 34!

arent you a fancy pants  member if i recall correctly poko

Have been sighted in Bay 16 for most of the past games.

Wont lie though, the games I did sit in the fancy pants seats, the bar was amazingly closer...therefore, a win for me.

Hit bay 3. 2 is ideal, but if non alcohol we would need to suggest we are taking it over to the club and to move the non alcohol bay to the bar-less bay16 area.

But since for ACL most "fancy-pants" got moved from western stand to eastern due to restricted view near half way, it is the perfect time for a test run with few people on that side of the field.

FWIW, I'd always thought somewhere in bays 21-24 was a good idea.

IF any atmosphere were to develop, ffa, fox and ccm would want the marinators on the side seen by the tv cameras.
From a marinator's / fan's perspective, this could also make the support & atmosphere appear better on tv (i.e more of the action shots during the match would have active supporters in the background, instead of he occasional glimpses seen currently)

Closer to the kendall, still has a (partial) roof, etc.

For those who MUST sit at an end, there is the option to expand into the corner bay, or for a satellite group to occupy bay 19.
Between those who want the end and those who want a bit of roof, it might force a bit of spreading-out unlike previous years' cramming-into-a-single-bay problems.

An observation about the current arrangement: anywhere on the western side, certainly at least the northern half, the away supporters are LOUD because they face that way and the roof deflects sound in that direction.
If the marinators moved opposite the away supporters, the sound would project towards them, but to the whole western side (most of the members), it would still sound as if the marinators being outsung every week.
Project towards the western side and you have the full volume of both groups projecting into the faces of the whole west side, competing for their attention (i.e. volume & atmosphere)

I really do agree with you here floss, I think the more we can be seen during the match the better.
If only the sun wasn't such a problem, it'd be like Newcastle away.

I dont agree that if we were in bay 3, the western stand would hear more of the away supporters. I think the breeze off the water would make it easier to hear us on western, and them on eastern.

Why do we need to be seen?

Bay 3 sounds like its worth a try - if it gets boring we can run the Bay 34 firm. They've got nothing

I think bay 3 would be too close to the fancy pants seats and designated no alcohol area (the family area) and we wouldnt last long there at all.

we need to give it a test run 1st, see if it works/if the stadium mgmt are happy with it etc, then if we do make it permanent, get ccm to change the supporters bay area to there

i know some people want to just pack up and move, simple fact is if security and stadium mgmt dont like the idea, it will last all of 2.3 seconds

Agree. And i can not see a better time to test it then the next home game where that side of the stadium is virtually empty due to restricted view in the gold seats.

The club should have no trouble moving the alcohol free bay for the season if this works out, and ultimately we can sit anywhere as GA, so they are better off being involved.
