ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

should the marinators be in a better bay....

Ok maybe i was a bit harsh, but i do feel the flare was uncalled for, we dont need it at our games.Point taken about how many people in bay 16 that have been kicked out. Auburn Mariner the flare was just in front of you, if you seen who had it or done it you should of told security as a responsible adult as you are.

The Australian writer C.J. Dennis defined it thus: 'Wowser: an ineffably pious person who mistakes this world for a penitentiary and himself for a warder'.

This discussion should be in the "flare" thread. Since that thread discusses the positives/negatives that arise and people opinions. Explain how you feel about the flare there, read the thread and you will see differing views pro/con.

Has nothing to do with a bay change.

Things to consider, though:

- at this match at least, the alcohol-free bay is directly adjacent. Anyone choosing to sit there would be doing so to shield themselves (or their families) from drunken behaviour. There is a risk of a Newcastle-semi-type situation if their view is blocked by people standing, or if they witness excessive drinking, swearing, etc.

exactly why bay 1 is a must as we would not be in anyones view

The aim is for the club to move the non alcohol, not for us to squish ourself into a solitary bay next to the non alocos. They would not want to be next to us either 1 or 3 I would assume. Non alcohol bay is easily movable down the other end of the western side for the season.

I say bay 3-2-1 should be our bays to aim to fill, starting with 2. But this week hit 3. Non-alcos can move to the golden seats vacated.

mate we dont have enough to fill one bay, so the squish comment doesnt work for me...moving non alco bay may happen, may not, we cant wait for it tho.... bay one is by far the best option far less chance of complaints from the non alcos than the sit down shut up types in gold ;)

Squish is a future reference.

If we move to bay 3, i guarentee that the club will move the non alcohol bay as a result. Leaving us bay 2. Bay 1 would only have people in it with a massive crowd, and if a massive crowd, we should have enough fo have people in it standing a singing. So no complaints from bay 1.

Golds dont have a say as we would not be impeding them. Non alcos will not be sat next to us by the club, unless the club has no idea whatsoever.

Non alcos i am guessing would prefer not to be sitting next to us wether we are in bay 3, bay 1, of bay 16.

its not up to him to play the role of security...

Correct.

I have done so before, some wise heads quietly advised me NOT to do so, despite this being my chosen profession.

Can someone please help me, I find myself agreeing with Paolo on a semi-regular basis?? Am I even more-deranged than originally suspected???

in 4 years we have dwindled in numbers, having 50 ppl stand in bay 3 when we have a sell out will not work...we need to re-establish ourselves as the "active" support in bay 1 get a foot hold and hopefully grow from there...while bay 3 might be better long term how "long term do u think it will be before we need 3 full bays ;)

[move]CONFIRMED

Stadium management are aware that we are moving bays for tomorrows game. Bay 2 will still be a non alcoholic bay for this game. Pending the outcome of this "trial" move, we may look to make the move permanent for v5 of the a-league, and obviously then we would re address the non alcohol situation with stadium management and ccmfc.

Can I ask all Marinators moving past bay 16 to get to bays 1, 2 or 3 for tomorrow nights game to let any people you recognise that we have moved for this game, and ask that they follow if interested.

I also remind you all that being that bay 2 is the non alcoholic bay, if you are in this bay with a bevy, you will be removed from the stadium. We can solve this by sitting in bay 1 or 3 for the game, and maybe move to bay 2, straight across from the away fans if the move is made permanent.
