ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I taught my 2 year old sister to say "Newcastle sucks". It comes out as "castle suck" but I'm sure she gets the general idea.

Gotta start them on the road to hatred early.....

Nothing like keeping the cycle of hatred going...and going...

Surely means porter will slot back to RB with Boogs in the middle, Macca out right possibly, or simon.

So

            Danny

Porter  Boogs Wilko  Heff

    Weemac   Pedj Hutch

Simon     Macca    Kwas

swap macca with simon and i think you would be close to the mark

Correct - If we play like we did last week we'll do ok.  Another good team display and anything could happen.

COME ON MARINERS!

Hey, just noticed that Caceres hasn't been listed, and didn't play last game either.

Has he picked up an injury or out of favour with Lawrie big time?

imho- we need him atleast on the bench.
His flair and fresh legs will finish off any team in the a-league.

3:1 Mariners
scorers: Matty Simon (2), Heff  :)

Well win , not to fussed on the score. While Doigs ommision is not tre best the boys have a renewed confidence since his arrival and a new belief like the first couple of seasons so well be more than capable at the back.
The Caceres issue worries me, he is one of our most creative players but something must be amiss with him?

I dunno, Mrdja produces something every now and then.

yeah he does on the rare occasion, but I think Caceres would work better combos with those on the pitch. Mrdja usually prefers the 'the ball is mine im gonna do it all myself approach'. If Nik can settle himself and take a split second to think before he shoots he may do ok.

The game against Newcastle on Boxing Day comes to mind when he turned the game in our favour.

one swallow don't maketh a summer

besides, sash had already equalised before he came on so the tide was already turning

and one could argue that matt simon made the bigger impact off the bench that day as he scored the winner

I wouldn't get too worried about Doig. Calf strains are common and generally not too difficult to come back from. As to the squad. We have depth and options, this is what successful seasons are made of. Muscat with a Hammy 4-6 weeks and no true central defender in cover is something to legitimately freak out about. I'm not saying having Doig out isn't unfortunate, but sincerely believe we will be fine. As one of the posts said above, we have defensive steel now in our attitude, which is better than having one defender and no steel from the others. Good chance for Wilko to step up. He was fantastic last week.

Personally I'm happy with Dmac starting, him and Matty should give the jest hell.

Best Xmas present I had last year :)

Holy shit, IM IN THAT VID!
I hope Dmac slots a few goals away while lube-o is distracted chasing Matty around.
Its a shame Doig isnt playing, I wanted to see him steamroll Sasho, which, may I add, IS a girls name
