Doig is out injured. He rehurt his calf at training yesterday. D-Mac will come into the starting lineup and Mrdja into the squad on the bench.

No-one saw _that_ coming..... all well and good to sign "hard nuts" and whatever, but if he's gonna be like this every other week, is it worth it??

I sincerely hope this is a one-off.

f**kkkkkk thats not good.

Pedj or Boogs to CB?
Either way it's gonna cause a reshuffle.

Im thinking....

        Danny

Boogs Pedj Wilko Heff

Porter Weemac Hutch

Bigmac Matty Kwaz

Or

            Danny

Porter Boogs Wilko Heff

  Weemac Pedj Hutch

Matty Bigmac Kwaz

It's a tough choice between the two. Depends if Lawrie want to use Pedj to keep Vignaroli quiet or prefers Boogs at RB. Maybe Travis is an option in the middle?

Surely means porter will slot back to RB with Boogs in the middle, Macca out right possibly, or simon.

So

            Danny

Porter  Boogs Wilko  Heff

    Weemac  Pedj Hutch

Simon    Macca    Kwas

swap macca with simon and i think you would be close to the mark

pedj may yet play stopper

lawrie has not decided yet

Oh FFS Serious, give the guy a break!

He's been playing just about every trial and pre season since landing without incident.

I did notice during the Melbourne match that players from both sides were having trouble with the ball bouncing high for them. Maybe the pitch was rock hard and Doig hurt his calf as a result?

Doig out is a bugger! Bugger, Bugger Bugger Bugger and more buggery than what goes on (allegedly) at Knox College! ;D

Hopefully Wilko has his confidence up - he has been playing better of late I understand, certainly, the Melbourne game I saw on TV he did appear to be playing better.

I'd suggest his partner would be Pedj, and Lawrie to make minimal changes to last week's line up.

                Danny
Boogs  Wilko  Pedj    Heff
        Travis    Hutch
Porter      McGlinchey      Kwasnik
              Simon

Subs: Mrdja, Macca the Bigger, Redmayne, Elrich & Clark.

Hopefully this week we won't break young Nick if he plays the full 90!

Clarence, it has been stated above that d-mac will start for doig and mrdja comes to the bench. Why do you have travis in that formation?

Oops. My mistake. :-[

I was assuming a minimal change approach by Lawrie. Just replace Doig's position with Pedj and slot Travis in Pedj's role from last week & keep the winning team as close as possible to the one that played well against Melbourne?

Oh well. Obviously Lawrie is prepared to move more people around. I guess he's got a decent pre season load of info about who plays well, where.

Personally I'd like to keep the defense as similar to last week but place Pedj in Doig's spot. *shrug*

In line with what has been stated publicly I'd then have something like this (which you say is probably close to the mark):

I taught my 2 year old sister to say "Newcastle sucks". It comes out as "castle suck" but I'm sure she gets the general idea.

Gotta start them on the road to hatred early.....
