The one and only flare was right behind me and my mate. It came from the left (facing the pitch) i really didnt get a lok at who threw it, but it took the secca's a few minutes to actually regester that there was one (dumbarses).

it was a fantastic result! and one thing i have noticed, is that the bay echoed under the the roof. Im not sure how well it did further down but if thats the case we should look at raising some funds for a roof on the northern end of BT.

Adrian and Matty coming on changed the game IMHO.

I thought the scum security was less heavy handed than previous visits (except the stupid trumpet incident).

Gotta love the spark players like Hutch and Matty bring to this derby... and now it's firing up the rest starting with Dylan.

Not sure if Dylan's red could be appealed, if indeed he did use abusive language then they are admitting he committed the offence.

However it seems ludicrously unjust that other players can instigate physical violence and the only punishment to come out of the incident goes to someone saying something as a reaction (rather than someone fighting).

I think that would be a more likely avenue for appeal; try to site some others (Sackwhack) who were involved in physical attacks and were not dealt with by the ref. (again - as always)

If Dylan was sent off for swearing at the ref, I cant see how we can appeal. Heat of the moment etc but he should have known better.

Citing scum players doesnt help us either.

They are simply a bottom of the table side who we dont have to worry about this season.

Worst game of football that I have EVER seen. I had relatives over from the UK and I was embarrassed to watch.

LM what were you thinking playing Os on the left flank and Hutch at ATM... diabolical selections. There is no question now about favouritism. Its a f**king joke! I'd be calling for his sacking if we lost this.

Why sub Gumps for Matty and not Osman can someone tell me this? I laugh when ever I think of Miron saying "yeah we should get Osman from the Mariners" Can't wait till he's gone his air swing in the first half when he landed on his ass was priceless

First half was so uninspiring and the second wasn't too much better expect for some class from Heff and flat out determination from MS.

Thank God we got out of jail though. Matt Simon you are a legend. Foxsports Fantay A league has him as receiving a yellow so who knows.

Lawrie needs to do something for NYE coz we are playing hopeless.

Didn't see any flares on TV but whats the problem? They look great!

Correct - there were two actually...and considering they are nothing more than burning chemicals, to throw them into a crowd is the height of irresponsibility - especially considering the number of kids who go to our away games at EAS.

Great finish to the game.  We managed to turn it all around.  Hutch needs to grow up and show some maturity.  Sure, he takes some crap from the Squadron but needs to rise above it!

edit...I agree. they may have been planted as security ejected 3 newcastle fans shortly after from our area!

As for the flare... I'm convinced it's a Jets thing - why would we have a red/orange flare when we're YELLOW and BLUE?

it was just a simply a celebration of winning...
I must say that Griffith is the one that should have got a red!!..
He was the one that incited the whole anger incident, by the way he reacted at Hutcho's celebration...
Why does Griffith always get away with this kind of garbage?
And yet Macalister gets a red card for words?... I always see and hear plenty of players swearing on the pitch, during a game..
Why isn't that carded then?.. why should swearing after the game matter?
As for the penalty.... what a joke... gump was the one that was being pulled down... not him pulling the scum down.
ohh well we won , and we were top of the ladder for a few hours.. heheheh

As they have an hour of foxsports news the two hosts always talk about the sport they cover for ages. The two guys were just ripping into Joel Griffiths and the Jets saying "big deal, he just kicked the ball in the crowd", and "if the jets showed that sort of passion and intensity during the game and not after they may still be in contention for finals football".

They guys just kept going on and on about it. Was so funny.
