Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The difference between a good lofted pass and a bad one is usually loss of possession.

Here's a picture from the first half.  It's not the best pic but someone before was asking for one.

You've gotta love the Central Coast!

Was there much trouble outside of the stadium after the game?  I saw a few little incidents but I didn't see the Cove leaving.

Tops performance by all the lads.
Especially Gumps, Wilko, Bojic and Dmac.

Hutchy was a lot better than most games but he still made a few dodgy passes and movements.

On tv, our style of play tonight looked a lot better. Less long ball, some creative passing in the final third 1st half especially.
All penalties deserved.
Thought the ref had a top match really.

I'm pretty sure we've got the worst back 4 in the league, and all our problems start there.  We can't get a decent ball to the midfield who in turn can't feed the front line.

Weren't we saying that only a few weeks ago?

yarn! boring as f**k on the field.

But wtf is going on here - http://au.fourfourtwo.com/gallery.aspx?galleryID=837
Seriously wtf are some of you thinking. epic lolz
Good turn out by both bases. Effort.

Anyway good night even though we lost.

City rail is a c**t - Police operation delayed number of supporters from both clubs. Ridiculous.

Jedinak- not the best distribution but decent penalty (almost went over) and good ball winning

Decent penalty? Nearly went over?

F**cking unstopable!

Yep - another Kareemism........

Was nowhere near going over
lol
take a look at it agin tomorro...
I liked the Adelaide one better
that said I imagine it probably was a bit higher than Kedinak aimed for (i dunno but is best not to 'go' for it with those penalties)

Yes way more cops there than newy. They took it way to far, the FFA and the police don't know how to control a football crowd and they will continue to fail and be clueless.

Umm - yep just did - and as Slater ans Hill said - one of the best taken penalties all season......would have been at least 2 feet under the bar plenty of room

I'm not quite so pleased with the Mariner's performance as others but in the end was very happy that we got the deserved 3 points as we were clearly the best side all night. Our longer ball passing to our strikers was terrible, repeatedly overshooting straight to the Sydney goalkeeper and really let us down. Had a few of those passes found their targets we could have come away with a big win.

Recalling Aloi$i's penalty was the lowpoint of the match. Very technical and 90% of the time wouldnt be recalled. Aloi$i's celebration after scoring was pathetic. He should have been ashamed of himself for missing the first time.
I thought Porter worked hard all night, Caceres was great and McAllister caused problems for the Sydney defence all night. Great to see Gumps play the whole game and welcome back Heffernan!

What is it with the black flags in the Marinators? If they werent black they were the darkest navy blue I've ever seen.

Twats throwing sauce need to be sorted out by the Marinators leadership - quickly. It's that kind of piss poor behaviour that's gonna keep people away from the Marinators. Shame to hear about bad behaviour by some Sydney supporters too. I'd like to think that our rivalry with Sydney is confined to the pitch only.

Couple of quick points here chief.

The only people in the ground able to "sort" behaviour out is police and security. The expectation that somehow there is a leadership group responsible for other peoples behaviour is incorrect.

The Marinators members/office holders enter the ground as mere paying customers and cannot be held responsible for the actions of others.

SFC's fans are infinitely better behaved than the scum but for some reason there is police overkill at our games whilst the scum are allowed to rampage around town - go figure?

As a responsible citizen (no, really) I went by train last night so I could have a few and the walk to the station and on the platform, there was no trouble, no air of menace that accompanies games v the scum. There were however, about 10x the number of Police.
