Simply outstanding starting debut by Lewis. You have to wonder why it took so long and it's looks like he has a good future in the HAL. Although to be fair it's only one game.

For mine, Kwas is the key for us. If he can continue his current form, it means we finally have a second striker who can score. His goal last night was a brilliant finish, brilliant technique and really had no right to score with the height of the ball and being off balance.

Travis proved he should never be dropped again unless he horribly loses form. He, wee mac and Hutch are the midfield that will win us many games to come this season.

Just heard on Football Fever we've never been lower than 6th in two and a half years which is an interesting statistic.

Lol I just tried to post on the MV forums and it turns out I am banned. Can't ever remember posting in that god-forsaken tube, but that's how it is apparently.

I love beating the tards. Melbourne are so up themselves about EVERYTHING. Getting two over them is a wonderful thing :)

so our 5 fouls to their 8 (plus the uncounted times muscat tried to kill simon) equals us beating up younger school kids? :piralaugh:

I'm still amazed by Kwasnik, thats why he is my favourite player. Great strike, had to bend his leg the wrong way just to get the ball and he still managed a quality finish. Thought lewis did good for his starting debut. Elrich did alright aswell considering his cirucumstances. thought everyone played great but I think clarky took pity on mrdja and passed the ball into mrdja's foot and it went in the goal. But I hope mrdja gets his confidence up and can play some good football.

In fairness to laugh-a-minute Ernie at the interview after the game he constantly gave credit to the Mariners.

I still find it stunning that the media continues to write us off. Coming into Saturday's game, just like in R1, there were all predictions of easy wins for the Victory. Like, WTF? We beat them in R1 when you said that, want us to double it?

Oh, we did. :D

to be fair tards were on a long unbeaten streak and we hadn't won in a while.
Danny was brilliant.

Danny- i thought he would never reach this level again- well done. Some amazing saves
Quality striker from Kwassie- still unconvinced. But I will admit I dunno if anyone else in the league could pull it off. He is definately unique
Travis: bedazzling
Lewis: awesome volley

I think considering Mrdja's form- it was an allright goal- Positioning and calmness...we've seen Aloi$i miss easier (and EPl stars eg. Zamora)

Who are going to lose to next week? :p

Surely cant change the winning side...or will we. Its tought, coz we honestly were without 3 of our best players...but the team did wonderfully.
I dunno
There is a saying to never change a winning side...i dont always agree with that
but for a absolutely destructive side- u''d think this would have even more merit!

Oh and ouch for Hutch. At least he had his first child born this year...:p
Man that hurts so bad (I've had an identical scenario- you want to just cry...i laid down on grass for 5 minutues...took 30 mins til I was right again!)

You arent convinced about someone you describe as quality and admit that his finish was beyond the abilities of most strikers in the HAL?

Tough marker

Some crappy radio station newsreport spoke about how the Victory lost but not one word about the Mariners. Just what do they have to do?
