Gumps delivered a cracker and Hutch was so close with his missile as well. Great match!

We hand over possession way to easily, still think it was a good game though and a fitting result.

Just got back from the game and would like to thank everybody for the awesome day out. You all rock 8)

As for the game, 2 dropped points for both sides really so more ground has been lost on the top 2.

Seen the goals and they were both crackers.

As Cockerill says in the Foxsports wrap of the game, he doesnt think there is a crowd favourite anywhere in the HAL as popular as Gumps - the man is a legend.

Bogey side, we have never beaten at home so all in all, a draw is ok

Grumps gotta start ahead of Osman ... no contest the difference Grumpy made to the rest of the team when he was on the park .... just read the game soooooooo much better and moved intooooooo position so much earlier and his passing touch well you can't really compare Grumpy's is a class player .. Osman is a bench player with AE & Owens out so he gets a run.

Sash missed and open goal which was harder to head the ball away from goal that to score ... Jedi great lay back and hit straight at the Ready .... Porter missed Matty making runs up from for his passes from the back IMO ... Caught the last of the YL ... Hef will be back soon ....

The difference between the first 60 and the last 30 minutes was huge the first 60 was the Roar the last 30 ours. The difference was two replacements Grumps and Nik.

My MOM was Craig Moore ... shit he played well tonight huge respect as long has Moore on the park never write them off .... he just organised the backs and calmed them down never stopped talking to them ... for us Jedi ... Hutch's form is on the improve.

BUT I AM KEENLY AWAITING THE SERIOUS MATCH GOING NUTS REPORT

Not quite sure how to feel about the match overall.

First half was crap and I would have hooked Hutch after half an hour if I was the coach. Didn't deserve to be on the pitch. We couldn't retain possesion and Queensland did their usual thing very well, that is, pressure high up the park and close down the man and give him no time and force the turnover which we did all the damn time. It seemed we chose the wrong option repeatedly.

Second half I thought we were good. Jedi really came into the game and completely dominated. Given our second half, we would have won most games but their back four were magnificent I thought and made it very difficult for our attack. Overall, have to be happy with the draw the way the game went, but I thought we were slightly the better side on balance.

The pitch was a disgrace as usual. Absolutely shocking and an insult to professional Footballers.

Our problem is all these damn draws. As we all know we've only lost three which is the lowest in the league but we have seven draws. We have to start winning. String three or four together and we'll go close to a top two finish if not the Premiers.

Thought our back four were excellent, love Boijic in central defence with Wilko. He should stay there for the rest of the season.

Agree with midfielder, Moore was MOM which is standard for him. They'd be rooted without him. And Miller may as well not have got on the plane down.

I thought Carceras has a strong game. He was in control of his first touch tonight. Usually it skids off his boot like an egg on a teflon fry pan, but tonight he was in control... beautiful

Thought we were a lot stronger in the back tonight. Pedj was outstanding and he reads the game so well. Wilko - one of his better games and Porter stood up. Besides Dapuzzo's challenge he played a decent game.

Sasho - PASS THE BAAAALLLLL

To criticise anything about last night's game would just be unfair...... we were _beyond_ garbage, everyone in the stadium knew it (pretty sure Bay 16 wasn't the only place to boo them off at halftime - to be fair, I was saying Boo-urns  :p), there were parts of the second half where we were better, namely the last 10 minutes, but f*ck - I never want to have to live through another Mariners performance as inept as that ever again.

The Good

Pedj, what a gun.

Gumps, MUST start.  Off-field bullshit with Lawrie aside, he has _earned_ that starting spot, and come on, the crowd love him.  Not to mention he's HUNGRY!!!!  Oh, and that goal.  ;D

For most of the game, Wilko improved out of sight compared to recent efforts.

Van Dijk's goal......

The Bad

The rest of it??

The never ceasing use of chips that don't work and long diagonal passes....... guys, give it a rest.  It didn't work the first, second, or 78th time.  Remember that whole "play on the ground" business we discussed???  ;)

Lawrie's "tactics" in the first half.  Really man, was that all you had??  (to be fair and balanced, it was nice to see him be pro-active in the second half - so incredibly refreshing to see a sub before the 78th minute)

The Ugly

Sasho's and Hutcho's airswings...... although Hutcho's was just funny.

The disturbing trend of simulation that is creeping into the A-League more and more.  Get rid of it, now.

Sarah Ho's ability as a linesperson.  I'm all for equal rights blah blah blah, but if she can't do the job, get someone who can.

75 minutes of dross followed by 15 minutes of excitement.

The standard of the playing surface is an embarrassment to the club and the League. If this continues, we should switch to playing at Parramatta Stadium (and yes, that IS FAIR DINKUM). Winter grass, gimme a break!!! Looks like 40 of my love children have been rolling up and down the pitch for 24 hours (Tsunami warning, anyone??).

Sergio's strike, wow, top shelf. Vicious, unstoppable bullet that nutmegged D'Apuzzo.

Glad to see changes were made early enough to have an effect. Gumpy made a real difference, providing a real spark. Mrdja also provided options, with two clever cutbacks from the by-line ALMOST producing the goods. Back four were solid, goal was NOT their fault.

Reddy made a GREAT save off Mile, perhaps the ball could have been struck lower.

Vukovic looked very confident, which we will need down the stretch. I would have loved it if Hutcho's last gasp strike had gone in, but it was not to be.

A general warning, if we play ACL games in the same manner we played in the first half, we will get disembowelled in East Asia. Gamba, Kashima, Shenua et al would be looking at that tape and saying two things:

1. Hope we draw the Mariners
2. Where is the closest beach so we can train in conditions somewhat akin to Bluetongue.

However, we will be hard to knock over in Gosford if we ATTACK with purpose and meaning, as we did in the last 15 minutes. The lads must be very fit, well done A Clark.

We MUST beat Hakoah FC this week. A 6 pointer, we can STUFF them for the season. AND, the Christmas break looms large for our Mariners. 2 wins will set us up for the four.

Worst thing about Saturday Night games; having to be at work the next morning at 6.30am.
