    ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

    ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I expect Hutch to start in place of Perez; Musti to come on in second half. McBreen and Simon to start. Kwas to repace McBreen. Mariners to win.

So, I am in Noosa, preparing for the GF, I take the wife to the hinterland, a village called Montville - we are in a shop and in walk three Mariners fans who sit in the same row as me at Bluetongue...small,very small world. Mariners to win.

My dream from last night.

Musti to start for Perez and score an early goal. McBreen and Simon to start. Kwas to replace McBreen. Great game with chances at both ends. Ryan, Wilko and Dutchy staying strong at the back.

Kwas to score the second - triggering a fight between McKay and Nichols as they see their dream unravel. Hutcho to come on late and put the final nail in the coffin.

Yep, I'm seeing all that. I'd like to see Musti start, run himself ragged and be replaced by Hutch to help protect the 2-0 lead (coz he ain't gonna leave with another runner-up medal!).

This:
And far, far more awesome to defeat them (their first in 28 matches, including 5 against us) at Suncorp, on March 12 :pirashoot:
This scenario:
26 Feb BR 1-1 CCM (BR win 3-1 on aggregate)
5 Mar CCM 2-1 AU aet
12 Mar BR 0-2 CCM :eek:verhead: :eek:verhead: :eek:verhead:

Where have we only ever beaten Brisbane in the A-League... SUNCORP

Results right so far, bugger the detail like scores, etc
I'm up for the third result, here's the detail (which may or may not also happen)...

Musti doesn't score but gets 2 early assists for McBreen (11') and McGlinchy (19'). Enough to earn him the Joe Marston medal and he retains the honour of being its youngest recipient, at least for his lifetime. He is replaced at the 58th minute by Hutch who with Ollie and Wee-Mac defend so far up the park that Wilko and Dutchy hardly see the ball. Oh, and Matty R saves a pen for a dodgy call on a Pedj challenge on Nichols.

Well, thats my dream. For those up there now and on there way (safe travels) see you in Bay 313 :pirashoot: :pirashoot: :pirashoot:

From the article ... Grand finalists Brisbane Roar and Central Coast Mariners are approaching financial meltdown,
According to Seb Hasset on TWG Peter Turnbull said he wasn't personally worried financially but was worried about the structure of the A league. Roar has already been taken over by the FFA but the question is how do the Mariners cope with small crowds and poor sponsorship? Eventually something has to give...A comprehensive review by the FFA is due in a few weeks. Meanwhile - Mariners to win.

Mariners approaching meltdown makes me feel sick to my stomach.
Obviously our smaller crowds have hurt our back pocket big time.
Hopefully our long term vision with the COE will see us through.

Would LOVE a public statement by the club as these kind of rumours/statements are very upsetting to hear as a fan.

There is always the ability of the fans to set up a supporters trust, this would not be something the mariners could rely on but can help significantly with ancillary cost to lessen the pressure. Works well if done right

One final word to the boys before the big day. I am reminded of the quote from Henry V in Shakespeare. I've tweaked it slightly to to take into account today's battle. It is part of a speech which King Henry gave at the battle of Agincourt in 1415. Despite overwhelming odds the English troops beat the superior numbers of the French.

But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in (England) Central Coast now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon (Saint Crispin's) Grand Final Day

Morale in the English line as they looked upon the overwhelming force of heavily armoured, highly skilled French knights must have been extremely low. King Henry, rising to the occasion, spoke words of encouragement that rallied the English troops and carried them to a victory. As a result of the victory the French Princess Catherine was betrothed to Henry V, and France and England were at peace for the remainder of Henry's short life. He perished of dysentery in 1422, but was survived by his son (Henry VI) and was buried at Westminster Abbey, close to the shrine of Edward the Confessor

Remember these words and GO THE MIGHTY MARINERS!!!!
