Bottom line is it should never have got to penalties but IF Breeze was even midly fair dinkum that would have been a free kick to us and game over.

gutted for you guys, I've been following the Mariners all year. They showed quite a few games in the US this season and I hope they play even more next season. The Grand Final was shown live up here and I got the entire pub cheering for the Mariners tonight. Thought it was in the bag.

absolutely gutted! wanted CCM to win so badly, after all the rigging the Roar have gotten throughout the season (especially that handball by that traitor Theoklitos!) karma wouldve been so sweet! Just to see the look on Impostecoglou's face woulve been hilarious

the ref's had to end this fixed season on a high with some shocking decisions.........Ibini's 90th minute one on one was a disgrace and Bojic getting shoved out the way by that spud, Rocky Visconte, which led to the equaliser

FFA are relieved, it was a close call, but they got their wish......Ange Imposter should shout them a beer!

The game had it all, the goal line clearances, heart in mouth moments throughout... extra time, 2 awesome goals to us... then watch us royally F*&% it up again with only 3 minutes to go.

I had the gut feeling that once it went to penalties, we'd lose. Only thing that would've saved us would've been an exceptional effort from young Matty in goals... unfortunately for the kid, it just wasn't to be. Re McBean.... why Arnie... WHY??

Now I just wait to hear all the morons going on again about "how we could never beat Brisbane!!" F*%# ME I'm sick of hearing that shit!!

Ref didn't have a great game, however, he also didn't have a shocker.

After 3 losing grand finals and coming closest in this one, it should hurt the most. Instead it just has me looking forward to next year more.

Season one hurt because we were the better team but just didn't take our chances. Fair play to Sydney- they took theirs and won. Season 3 hurt most. The less said about Shields and Holland the better.

This one - considering I was just hoping the boys would make the finals - seems to be just the start of something more.

Great effort boys - make us as proud again next season and in Asia!!!

Just watching the replay, and I've discovered yet another way in which we were cheated:

Watch the penalties (on the goalscoring highlights on the FoxSports website) - the 2 that we missed, Theo came 2-3 metres off his line before it was kicked. Considering they were fingertip saves, this made all the difference.
