This - we lost and maybe in agonising circumstances (I want to see the lead-up to their 2nd goal again >_<) but we did give it a great effort.

Kinda blocking out emotions atm - even at 2:0 up I tried to ignore that great vice hope. Brisbane were the better team overall (although a few of them are stinking divers - what's the bet the review panel calls them out on any of those dives? )but we nearly stole it. That sub of Berni for Griffths almost turned out to be a masterstroke by Arnie, and I felt overall he did well - pity Brisbane are just too good this season.

I really hate penalities.

Ah well. Half a year to recover from it - bring on next year.

On a sour note, what the f**k was McBreen taking a penalty for. When he stepped up my heart sank. (2 great saves from Theo)

End of normal time. Typical Breeze effort. First time in all the games I have seen this season, and I have seen around 99% of them, that a referee has blown full time with a player going on goal. In other games I have seen extra time for a corner or other set play to be taken and the ball cleared. I do not agree with that philosophy as I believe that if time is up time is up, but in this case the injury seemingly held up play longer than the additional time Breeze played. We deserved a shot. Seems different rule for Grand Final or is it another Breeze controversy. Then in extra time Mariners should have had a free kick. Instead, play on by Breeze and equaliser is scored.

What a crock of shit.

We were superb as was our support only to be robbed by and incompetant OR more likely corrupt official.

Season 3 we lose due to blatant incompentance by Shields (the worst official in the history of HAL).

Season 6 the GF goes to FFA's favourite lap dog ref....Breeze. Does the message go out...do what you can but just dont be too blatant but we want the Roar to win they derserve it and its a good look for Oz Football?

First half...Amini is blatantly fouled, doesn't get the whistle so retaliates and Breeze blows the other way. Incompetance or a portent of whats to come?

End of full time, Bernie is away and sure to score with no time for the Roar to come back. Breeze cannot get the whistle into his mouth fast enough!!.

End of extra time and seconds to go. Bojic (i think it was) is blatantly fouled and the cheat waves play on. McBreen panicks (has been excellent up to that) and hits the ball out for a corner instead of a throw in.

The rest is history and Breeze collects a nice brown paper bag bonus and the FFA keep cheering.
