Really happy to see the lads winning at home!! Matty Ryan needs a massive pat on the back, even in the past 5wks now, his development and confidence has grown unbelievably!!! He is our new Danny and will become a great ambassador of our club!! Glad to see the team fighting for positions, will only make them all stronger in the long run!!

Matty Ryan was unlucky to the 1st goal deflection and shouldn't let it worry himself, not much one can do for goals like that!!

Loved the game, tho cannot fathom the blatantly obvious penalty when he calls minuscule free kicks all the time!! Woulda been pissed if it was a game deciding issue!!

I like how that video shows Matt Simon coming off as a highlight IMO he doesnt deserve to be in the starting XI but it not like we have anything else better. Lets hope that our new striker comes soon and can score goals.

Yep weemac was terrific as was Pedj. Olly and Perez also great.
Ducthy... I Heart Dutchy. How could yo u not??
Ryan did very well. Porter when he came on contributed.
Wilko solid. Rose was doing well but yes was responsible for conceding our first goal.

Matty and McBreen had moments - work hard - strong. But sadly thats just not enough. They easily could have cost us that game tonight. Of the two - Mc Breen has been the most consistent. But having both on is not working - the sooner we sign a striker and Matty can instead start challenging Griffiths and Hucth for the DM role the better as far as I'm concerned. DM is a role I personally think Matty could be very successful at and actually could go on to play at a much higher level than he ever will as a striker.

Griffiths was probably our worst on park tonight. But his size helps with the balance I think with three small midfielders also out there. But its a tough call between him and Hutch for future games i think... Griffiths offers height and strength and seems to grasp moving the ball forward quicker - while Hutch is definitely more accurate with his passing and better at keeping possession and holding up the ball.

Anyhow -
LOVED the game. Fantastic nights entertainment.
ANd then kicking a ball around on the pitch with my son in the rain.
Just sooooo much fun!

Thanks CCM for a BRILLIANT NIGHT.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
as I said elsewhere.....5 goals, pissing rain, dot shots, red cards, semi-competent reffing, coach blow-ups, 1,000 near misses and an own goal.....WHAT A GAME...Weemac = MoM

My analysis
mariners played well, fury played well

Cockerill good commentary, probably the least biased and
most consistent commentary on the game we have besides hill

token dude in the box? who was he?

referee deserves two weeks for improvisation

and then there is Harps! does he have a mute button!
hes like the dude who doesnt like silence, who was more worried
about strakas beige jacket then the game give him the season off. . .
and speaking of straka 9 out of 10 for just having a bit of passion (rightly or wrongly timed)
burning away inside

Spare a thought for Arnold and his contribution to our current success.

I had my doubts, like most. But where are the 'Arnold out' critics now?

Humble pie - eat.

Great effort all around last night. I predicted an attendance of 3k in the rain, so well done the Coast for turning up in numbers.

I think Fury are my next favourite team now - battlers just like us.

I was waiting to pass judgment on arnie and glad I did because I'm extremely happy with his tactics and wat he's down with team.

The game was worth sitting in the rain for last night. I'm hoping people who weren't there saw it and will come out to the next home game, disappointing that it's so far away. More games like that and we'll have season 3 crowds back in no time.

Also dutchy and weemac were immense

Well what a buzz that was. Great fun and a nice win as well. Heaps of fun on the pitch as well and i'm about to plant the turf souvenir in the front yard.

My thoughts...We started really well until Fury were lucky with a speculator and then we went into our shell again.

Second half was much better and we where smashing them until me went 2.1 up and as usual took the foot off the gas and started to back off and let them back in the game.

Once Daal got sent off we went for it big time and should have won by 2 or 3.

Ryan. 5. I don't think we can win the league with this boy in goals but he looks like one for the future.
Rose 6. Didn't look as confident as usual.
Wilko 7. Solid and actually went forward with the ball on a couple of occasions which was great to see.
Dutchy 7. Solid as ever and great winner.
Bojic. 7.5 Top game. Always dangerous and tough in the tackle.
Wee Mac 7.5. Brilliant second half and was a real handful when dribbling at pace. His best game of the year for mine.
Griffiths 6.5. Pretty solid and I would continue him instead of Hutcho.
Perez 8.0 My MOM. Great player. Even better than Gumpy in my eyes and thats saying something.
Olly 6.5. Pretty good game.
Simon 6. Tried hard.
McBreen 6. Tried hard but not his day.

Both strikers should have had a couple each.

Arnold 9. All good.

BTW what was with the two f-wits with the shocking hair cuts throwing beer and abusing the Marinators??
What a pair of tools!

Reports have McBreen scoring an own goal for Fury's second goal...

Should have piled on a couple more ... when is a clear penalty not given...

Happy with the result ... takes me back to the best of Hal 1 & Hal 3 games we played...

Both were own goals. Dutchy diverted the first and McBreen the second.
