I am so absolutely disgusted with the rubbish coming out of the mouths of some who claim to be fans of the Mariners, especially "we're so shit it's unbelievable." and booing the team and TW when he was shown on the screen. I'm sorry but that's absolute rubbish. They put Ascroft a CB into RB position and Posco in CB position. TW is playing people out of position which is f**king retarded. Blame the players all you want, but it's the coach's decision where players play and as you can see it gave Kitto 3 asssits.

I've had some settling time, and mainly want to write about individual and unrelated observations.
I think Fletcher has potential and I hope to see it flourish next season. He's not there yet though.
LRose is the same but further along his path and will be very good.

Roy is a demon and I love him.

Izzo's fault for the goal in the first 30 secs. I genuinely hope he is ok but am partly suspicious he went off half from embarrassment.

The issue with Ferreira and Austin is service. There were just SO many times when Austin, for example, could have belted by and onto a through ball...except only one was ever played and it was terrible. I won't go on but the only times these guys received the ball they were already trapped by defenders. We need some play making defensive midfielders and/or backs badly to start an attack - our wingers can be weapons of not shut down before they get a start.

We need to replace the departing Garcia but otherwise our front third is pretty decent. It's the back third that provides a wobbly foundation meaning we leak goals (and confidence) then don't have a platform to attack from.

Pearce is worth sticking with, he'll be our best option in no time.

Neill did some very good things technically but also made some poor decisions that stiffled anything going forward and more than one of his teammates blew up at him through the game (notably Rose and Garcia).

Extend Roy's contract as a priority. Given a functional team behind him and he'll contend for golden boot.

Neill was very ordinary.
Pearce is certainly no worse than Izzo who is close to being sub Trott.

You may be right about Fletcher though I've seen glimpses to say he's potentially far better (his assist a few weeks back for example). Here's hoping.
