ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Winning is when players show their quality. Spooning is when fans show theirs.

Quality FP.

Post of the season, imo.

Edit: Shaun, the club should use this (in some form) in next years membership marketing as a way to make members think twice about canceling their's, and re-evaluate ......

"What kind of fan are you ?
One that only bathes in the shortlived Glory of winning or one that is there, holding a candle when it is the darkest hour"

Me ..... I'll hold the candle, until the last flicker of the flame.

COYY.

Aloisi is a perfect example of this. At Melb.Heart his season was a nightmare for him, yet the same player's 'bounced back' when Van Schip was re-instated ??? That must of been utterly demoralising for him to have those same players turn it around under someone else.

Thought personally JA would be a 'long-time between drinks' for his next coaching appointment, even at State League level.

Look at how the worm has turned for him NOW, he's TOP OF THE LEAGUE! & eyeing a Premiers Plate.
Might need to look to his assistant for that - Ross is pretty well-regarded...

I have noticed in other codes that top teams always get the "benefit of the doubt" in referring/umpiring decisions, no reason why football should be any different.

With the greatest respect, that only applies to a sports team. The profit announcement made it quite clear that CCM is a corporate enterprise and measures itself as one.

They need to be careful what they wish for.

The scum are leaving CCM for dead as a community based sports club and it's starting to pay off for them.

We now have post after post on social media refusing to buy memberships to make a profit for Charlesworth.

One family just walked away from 11 seasons of gold family memberships. They won't be alone

Fans follow sports teams regardless. Customers leave when the product and service fails.

We've been spoilt. This is not our darkest hour. We're just shit on field. For good and clearly identifiable reasons. And we knew this months ago.

Every season someone comes last. We've been tipped to do so how many times? We need to suck it up - not have a collective dummy spit and talk about our memberships.

Winning is when players show their quality. Spooning is when fans show theirs.

THIS had to happen sometime and its CLEARLY come because we're financially rebuilding. We're not chelsea. We don't have a high quality squad just lying in wait for someone to hit the right combination of buttons to click into gear.

If you join all the dots it doesn't actually spell shit coach yet - it spells not strong enough team due to.... Blah blah on repeat blah, and ONLY when that is ammended can we know if Walmsley is genuinely shit or not. Great coaches can and sometimes do actually have seasons like this.

Truly dark is not an utterly shit season with an inexperienved money-ball squad shit out of luck. It is moving our team somewhere else... Or going bankrupt because we over spent and have the license pulled. Or being run by a pack of uncaring assholes careerists, who will let us die just as long as they get a leg up.

Shithouse on field is what we are.

But there are obvious factors for that. And anyone who thinks that you can take that squad - at this late stage - without a pre season or significant bolstering and get much change from other teams with bigger, better and more experienced squads - right when they're peaking? Sorry but that's just delusional and its causing people to reach for what could very easily be the totally wrong conclusion - when there is every evidence, which we have seen and repeatedly covered, to support exactly why we are performing exactly how we're performing... and it can literally have nothing to do with the coaching.

People keep pointing out basic on field errors as though they're definitive proof of shit coaching - errors which can and typically should be attributed to players if they're basic errors like what we're seeing.

Sorry guys, but basic errors like a midfield that doesn't recover well or hold shape. Basic marking or movent off the ball, poor options decision making errors etc etc... almost certainly have nothing to do with coaching at this level (unless lack of preparation was at fault - which it is but not because TW was a fool)

The fact the mistskes are happening is real. But the idea these aspects have been ignored by the coaching team or are unknown etc is simply ridiculous - I think some people really need to understand this and take it on board.

Walmsley really might be shit. But I know i can't tell because we're making far too many basic mistakes. (Undesirable but expected) Whereas so many people think they can tell because we're making basic mistakes.

People talk about KPI's... But if you're bannanna farm gets hit by a rare disease your p&l's are not going to be a reflection of how good you are at your job. And perhaps more pertently you wont be able to turn those around until next season.

If i was to turn on TW right now at this juncture - it would be because he's actually a dick and thats why we lost our senior players...

I don't believe that.

That only leaves one thing...

Some of his selections / omissions.
Some have bern shit and or very questionable. But he's also made some good and brave decisions this year as well. But above all so many have been forced by dissent, suspension, injury and lack of quality/depth and LOSING due to all those things, that any reasonable person who knows football, can look past the pain of spooning and follows our journey closely week to week should be cutting him slack in this area. Snd i should add we're not in camp. Its not as clear cut on even the poor decisions what other factors may be in play.

Anyhow... thats how I see it. Vote to hang if you must. But i think you're actually ignoring the where the evidence points because our woeful performances hurt so much - not just responding to the evidence accurately - like so many seem to think they are.
Extremely well said. :goodpost:

I disagree. The profit announcement made it clear that we've plugged the hole in the leaking boat.

Can we assume you haven't seen them then?

Would the links help you?

So your post here is to encourage members not to renew because it will lead to the club making a profit, which you are sure the owner will pocket?

I guess if enough go along with your argument the end result is that the club goes broke with the end of A-League football on the Coast

Now what conclusion can I draw:

1) You are a fan of a rival code/team.
2) You are as foolish as your posts.
or 3) You are a typical Fulham fan.

Spreading that sort of stuff is just undermining the Club when it is going through an extremely difficult period and in need of all the support it can get.

Look.

I don't know who you are but I'm going to disengage based on your 3 bullet points.

I know many of the regular posters will and we often disagree but they have a perfect right to an opinion.

Bye.

Ingnored

Sticking your fingers in your ears will not stop me attacking you if I see your posts as undermining the Club.
I would much rather you vigorously defend your argument and attack my deliberately provocative post.

Spreading ........ That's being a tad naive I think in this day and age.

If its already being posted by other individuals (not FFC) on various social media, then Facebook and the Twittersphere will do what they were designed TO DO ...... spread-it. ;)

Shooting the messenger never aided any King or Queen, doesn't help in this situation either.

I read FFC's post as agreeing with the Facebook and Twittersphere posts.

Why else spread it?

We have been woeful this year.

I dont know if Tony can coach or not???? I like the man, and hope he can flourish next season...if MC can send him out without his arms tied behind his back.

I will buy the usual season tickets next season BUT getting the extra people to come to the games with me will be impossible if this dross continues.
