ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I don't think it was Izzo didn't know where the goal was. He just didn't bother. Maybe wrong footed.
Whatever it is, he does it a lot. I find it difficult to understand how a keeper can get selected up to this level, through all the high levels below it, and still have that as a habit. He's conceded a ridiculous number of goals this season purely from that. He needs to go..

Maybe so, but you'll see players denied a goal scoring opportunity and get a penalty and only get a yellow gets given.
Nobody would ever argue HAL referees don't get a lot wrong. Usually if it's a yellow for this sort of thing, then (in theory), it's because there's a question over whether the player had control, or whether he's heading towards goal, or whether there are too many defenders in the way. IMO this was the correct decision.

Disgusting hit on Posco just before it though, can't believe that wasn't a card.

i remember a while back for a few years ago HAL officials blatantly refused to send players off for DOGSO. Happened a lot...

Absolutely pathetic. No fight, no pride.

It's embarrassing that Garcia has to play with such a joke of a team.

In summary - poor game.

That said there are some mitigating circumstances. Austin was a late withdrawal, Fab got fouled out of the game early on, some picked by the ref, most not, and was well below his best. That meant that Fletcher (lack of fitness) and Fab (injury) were both ineffective early on. We looked out of sorts from the beginning and never got into the game. I think that you have to see Bray come in for Izzo next week. Whether he could have saved the 2 goals where he just stood there or not - he needs to make the effort.

Sadly, the red card was the correct decision. However, Lustica was not going for the ball at all when he clashed with Jacob and should have been sent from the field with his first involvement.
