ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Im with Deej

While the 3 in CM makes us more solid, a genuine number 10 has to pose a real threat in order to make the opposition devote a marker to them

Stella doesnt frighten teams in the way Garcia does.

"Frighten's" probably not quite the right expectation.

More so he needs to "Have them wondering ??? ".

And to achieve that, Stella has to find the space and THEN get his derrière' 'into-it',

Once he does that - then the opposition will be 'wondering' as FFC prescribes:
- "Do we mark him & commit a player?"
- "Or is he a non-threat?"

Like others, I'm still yet to be impressed by the odd few good passages of playthat Stella's contributed, (still looks pretty much the same standard I saw when he was at Melb.V) - but still hoping. ;)

As DJ said, with only a 12 game contract...... you'd like to see him him step it up a gear, get a wriggle on, stop the navel gazing, pull his finger out, get the shark out with the frick'n laser beams. etc etc.

Brisbane's possession game is to strong for us. We don't like playing them, however with the renewed effort and a little luck two in a row not out of the question.

We haven't lost away for two weeks now.

Stella makes excellent runs, is the only one moving when everyone else is standing still. Just needs to be stronger and still adapting to the pace but I'm still sticking strong with him.

You have to say all the Australian Capital City teams seem to have finally got there stuff together and the Roar are no exception.... having said that I can see a spirit returning to the side as well as a bit of flare in Poscoliero, Ascroft, McGing, Rose and Fab...

Two teams that like to play open attacking football - have the defibrillator handy

Would be better to have Fletch up front and Bingham on the lhs, Bingo will have legs needed for that position.

That's definitely going to hurt us big time. Fletcher for Austin is not a like-for-like replacement. I'll be interested to see the formation.
I suspect that Bingers will play wing - probably right - with Fab inverting and Fletcher up front
