Credit to Matt Nash for helping improve Izzo's game both have proved me wrong. Fox went on about Perth missing chances but were stopped by Izzo or our defense most of the night.

Fox are f**ktards.

We dominated that game and were full value for the win. We also hit the post twice.

We all know why Fox hate us .... but they are so obvious it is becoming funny...

Is it all from the Phil Moss saga? I can't remember if we were like by Fox at any point?

I often feel like Adam Peacock has a soft spot for us, he seems to always stick up for u and drives the other panellists into giving an opinion that often favours us, classic example was the Odonovan penalty against Sydney last year when he said something along the lines of "on a scale of 1 to 10 how certain was that a penalty, 13?“

Ah didn't realise Rudin had that link to Bosnar.... explains why he took Liams side in the pre game show saying he was a stand up guy or some shit...

Damn that felt good.

Perth still had their chances, and if we were shit out of luck again, we still could have lost that game. But it would have been another travesty. We dominated the greater part of the game and played some great football. It was largely just on the counter that we looked most vulnerable. Bingham's height really helped us at set pieces at both ends - and with our general physicality with Posc in behind and McGing next to Monty, we just looked physically so much better balanced.

Boring, but I agree with everything everyone has said, though I think Okon deserves a very big shout out also. That was his brand of football. Perth struggled to get near us. They were not bad, they were all but completely outplayed. His placement of McGing I did not see coming last week and was still dubious about but I think it's been a master stroke. He dropped Powell and backed Fab centrally, had to be done and imo it's proved the most important decision in getting us traction. A pity last weeks test of it was dismantled by an abysmal refereeing decision.
  • Izzo - Some magnificent saves. There was some great defensive displays, but he is the most responsible for our clean sheet. Such an important contribution. For mine this year is the best in the league.
  • Posc - Immense, a true CB with decent judgement makes such a difference. Smart on the ball, great mongrel and some good passing too.
  • Roux - in a good team game was our weakest I thought, but still decent. Defensively he does not read the game as well or think as quickly as Galloway or Posc, but he's improving and nearly always links well.
  • Rose - solid.
  • Galloway - great game, defended well, and combined vitally down the left to help get the ball back in centrally when Pain was not getting much joy against the leagues best RB.
  • Monty - he is the leading light for the A league on what a Captain is. To play as he does, and lead as he does, after the two seasons he's just had... what a f**king star. Reddy is not fit to walk the same pitch as him, and the football gods agreed and he was sent accordingly.
  • Pain - Risdon kept him quiet, one of the only players who has enough pace and core strength to match him toe to toe. But he still played a smart and strong team game, defending and combining well in general.
  • Fab - awesome game - played a lot of good balls, showed endeavour, presented well, earned a lot of fouls, and stepping up for that pen? Man that took some balls. Great game.
  • Trent - lots of good work - causes headaches and many palpitations for his defenders. However he missed what teams generally cannot afford to miss if they hope to win games, should have played Powell in on goal, and his final ball is too often casually kicked into the first man/defender without any real effort to get a yard on him, wrong foot or cut back in. I'm sure this area of his game will have been noted and likely we'll see it improve. However all that is entirely irrelevant when you are responsible for getting Reddy sent from the field. :overheadl: Outstanding. What a great moment.
  • Bingham, held the ball up well which allowed our midfield to get up the park, requiring Perth to shift back and gave us the kind of field position that we have too often struggled for and meant we were not as reliant on our wingers as we have been. This combined with Fab's game, meant we could attack through the centre and were far more dangerous. He missed a sitter I'm sure he would bury 99 times out of a hundred, but scored a critical goal. Very good game.
Don't really have much to say on Powell, Berry or Kubi.

Personally think we answered a lot of questions today though. Maybe more than the fan forum it sounds like.

- Future is undoubtedly bright under Okon.
- McGing should be a serious option as DM moving forward and has utility being he now has experience at CB. For mine he should be re-signed.
- I had suspected he might be able to do it if given enough time, and think Fab made a very good case for his ability to play as 10 today. Also that form comes and goes. It often does not signify a players is past their used by date and we shouldn't be quite so quick to give up on our players.
- Posc should be re-signed and we have one of the two CB's that we need going forward.
- Bingham I think offers more than Powell does upfront and deserves some more game time, and if he continues as per today, another contract.
- Suspect Izzo will be the next player to be offered good money to go O.S. Sign him up on a 3 year deal.
I mean really, the only question left unanswered, is did Syd eat those cheezels?

I enjoyed that.

Agree with most of what I've read so far.

Monty - exceptional, in defence and attack. Amazing game. Legend.

Same to be said for Fab. I forget the defender but there was a shuffle to get around one that was almost too fast to watch.

Bingers was excellent. What hasn't been praised yet was his link play - some of his passes and flick ons were 1st class and visionary.

What more to say about Posco? I've always rated him but now he's first choice cb no doubt about it. Galloway impressed too I thought.

Without going through every player the key thing that impressed me last night was the passing, decision making and off the ball runs. Great speed, execution and vision from almost every player. We PLAYED so well, it was beautiful to watch at times

We really kicked Perth around, too. Played good football, went in hard. Didn't mind seeing that at all.

love all the salty PG fans whinging about Monty.
Reddy was abusing him as he walked off – any other player would have walked after Reddy to get in his face. Class from Monty, and really, it's the sort of on-field banter that fans LOVE. Nothing malicious, just being a bit of a smart aleck – and Reddy deserved it.
Great timing for CCM too, given the fan forum during the week it's probably good to get to capitalise a bit off that engagement.

Some are saying Reddy didn't touch him - fair enough, can't really tell in the video, but Reddy would have been going off his nut if that's the case - and if you took a dive there it would have been a fall forwards, but you can see how his leg gets caught behind him.

Reddy brushed Monty in the pregame handshake. Ignored his hand. Just shown on FoxSport
Phil Moss on Foxsports news
"I'm not going to air dirty laundry but I do know the goings on behind the scenes or much of it. The history of to why they are not shaking hands and why Nick Montgomery waved Liam off when he hit his red card.
BUT what I will say is this. Liam has made a stance, and on the information I have I back Liam Reedy in this situation, um and he's an honest guy and he's decided he's not going to forgive or forget something has happened behind the scenes at the Mariners while he was there. I back Liam 100%."

Moss is a complete fraud. A worse coach than Tony and a below average tv pundit. I'd like to see a lifetime ban for him from CCS. "Sorry mate, it says here your banned from the stadium, for impersonating a coach and for embezzlement (alleged)....jog on pal"

Video doesn't show it very well but his kick hits Trents ankles and the ground where the video doesn't have the ability to pick it up. The fall from Trent says it all, that's not a fall of a guy who is diving but someone tripped.
Reddy was going off but that's standard.
Incident happened not to far away from me and Trent had no reason to try win a free kick with an open goal awaiting.
