I swear i just saw a blue-yellow wheel roll part on the road out front :-(

With all our problems though - the one really consistent issue though is that we can't even get close to penetrating their defense. So bloody frustrating.

Yep, the wind tunnel and rain combined with a physical athletic welly = NIGHTMARE for our possession based game.

Roy cannot get on the ball - just out muscled and dominated so there is no link play upfront. Bingham would have done better today.

Kubi not up to scratch - just trying hard.
Pain marked out of the game.

Backline move the ball too slowly still.

But above all Roux has been murdered by weemac running rampant. On there other side they haven't had much penetration through Galloway. Marking for set pieces is terrible. Their height and strength is destroying us. In fact that statement holds in general. They are winning 90 of second balls.

We're ponderous in possession.

Ironically barring one shocking pass and one time where he should have passed, Fab has been our best.

Yep, just nothing going our way. C'mon Paolo, fire them up

I'd bring on Ascroft for Kubi at half time. Storm is too loose on Wee-Mac but can combine well when he is forward. Give Harry the job to keep Wee-Mac quiet.

How the DUCK do we almost run over Sydney and Melbourne and then completely fail to do ANYTHING against a team as mediocre as Wellington!?

Well that was depressing. Everyone bar Izzo was very, very average today. Most painful thing about this game is we deserved to lose by more.

Holy shit I am sick of seeing us pass it backwards in the last 5 minutes of the game. The actual last ball we played was Ascroft advancing, checked and played square to Trent, he played back. f**k me completely dead what does it take to swing a cross into the god damn box.

Yeah I'm expecting much gnashing of teeth and wailing over this one. We were poor. Boys against men for many battles and quite simply they have more quality and are a better squad pound for pound.

  • Fab did better than I thought he would for his first full game as a ten.
  • Galloway did well. Kosta had to switch sides to get any joy against Roux
  • Roy was utterly dominated and absent.
  • Monty was poor for the most part.
  • Pain can also hold his head up,
  • Rose is far too ponderous and doesn't seem to be as aware of his surrounds as he should be. We could do with Faty back.
  • Berry was mostly just dominated.
  • Kubi was awkward and ineffective. Could see Okons intent - he got stuck in - but didn't work.
  • Trents 25 off the bench was very disappointing. Dropped to everyone else's level.
  • Ascroft I thought did well when he came on.
  • McGing needs to drastically improve aerially - was dominated at all of our set pieces. Nix should have scored 3 or 4.
  • Izzo was very good again.
  • Roux was a new man once weemac went off - but still got caught way out of position when there was no need and is largely culpable for what otherwise is probably a pretty horrible point that we would have taken. He's useless against the nix.
  • Powell off the bench, shows all the reason why he can't play anywhere but upfront. Mind you he couldn't have done worse than Roy up there today.

Horrible game as a fan to watch. Can't stomach watching Sydney fap fest. Going to walk my dogs.

CCM we need reinforcements badly. If Faty and Tav can't play they should be released, two visor spots for what?

This is a very accurate summary and there is nothing much more to add.
The only thing I would say is that Fab looked like a winger playing in a #10 position.
Definitely time for the cousins to either produce or go.

Nothing to add here either, we were very poor tonight. Going to bed and hope when I wake up that was just a bad dream

Pretty much agree on all of that. As for Faty and Tav, they really need to prove their fitness now. I think that Tav is very important to us this season and really don't think we'll pick someone up of his quality in January.

However, having just watched the first half of the derby the quality team today so far has been the Nix.

Disappointing and I fear that we'll be doing well to avoid the spoon this season.

Normally I'm optimistic but I'm not feeling it anymore.
