ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Respect to Caceres, but starting Hutch-Monty in the midfield is a no brainer for me, and I expect only to see Caceres as a sub or injury replacement. Plus, with Simon back, I expect Duke to return to his super-sub role that he did so well with last year. Will be interesting to see what happens up front when Danny McBreen returns though...
Expecting much more from Caceres, and Fitzgerald too. With Flores, McGlinchey and Caceres I can see the Mariners rotating the midfield with all three capable of playing wide and through the middle. I doubt Duke will be a super-sub but the battle for places between Duke, McBreen and Simon is going to be a sight to behold :overheadl:

Completely agree with Fitzy. I think he won't find it hard to get starts, assuming his performance is there, as the only natural winger in the squad as far as I can tell. To be poached by Ange says theres gotta be some potential there, plus a full preseason under his belt he should be ready to slot into the system. Looking forward to some interplay with the fullbacks.

I totally agree with the comments about Fitzy in this thread, I thought he looked sensational under Ange and couldn't understand the lack of game time the Roar gave him at the start of last season (post AP) but with a bit of time with us now and an entire preseason I am excited at what he can add to our squad. I think this might be his year out on the right wing.

Still on the comeback trail I believe

Kwasnik was on the bench according to the match report for the Adelaide game.
A 5 man bench, and it says the Mariners made 4 subs...so no guarantee that he played.

Bench: 5. Zac Anderson, 8. Nick Montgomery, 13. Hayden Morton, 21. Mile Sterjovski, 23. Adam Kwasnik.

Looks like the Indonesian tournament could cause another scheduling headache...

According to the tournament schedule the final is set down for the 29th - which is the same day as the Jets game in Tamworth. Given the tournament winner will take home US$75,000 I wonder what will happen if we win our group?

shame to the folks at Tamworth, but that $75k would be useful for the club if they want to pursue our demands of replacing all the seats at Bluetongue.

Holy shit. I really want to see the mariners out in the bush. If I had known this I would have gone to the Bathurst game. It is a 5 hour drive to get to bluetongue so I hope the Tamworth game is still on.

Yeah, it'd only leave us about $3,925,000 short.

I'm sure not the money earned from stopping the use of friend for free vouchers at round 1 will help cover the rest, don't sweat ;)

Seriously though, really kick in the teeth to the people of Tamworth if the game doesn't go ahead, I hope they reschedule it. As BaysideMariner says, 10 hour round trip to get to Blue Tongue, so it aint as easy for them to see top-flight football like it is for us.

I know of at least two blokes who live north of Newcastle that follow the Mariners instead of Scum.

2-0 in the first Menpora Cup game against Sriwijaya F.C. - Simon heading a Sterj cross in the 36th minute, and Fitzy slotting one in off a Weemac cross in the 82nd.

Watched the stream that was linked to for the first half hour but the quality was giving me the sh!ts so I gave up and kept following the game on Twitter.

Moved to the bush 2 years ago for work. Most people out here who know about the A-League just want to see good football. They are passionate and are less caught up in the bullshit that can sometimes envelope the coastal areas. They follow either the Jets or the WSW. I am the only CCM fan that I have met out here in two different towns. I still want to see CCM out at Tamworth . It is only a 3 hour drive and I hope to stay at a mates place as we are planning to go as a club in a bus so it will only be a 1hr 45 minute trip one way.
