ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A few opinions from the spirit game:

Anderson was great as captain first half.

Duke was really good playing on the right wing

Rose was a lot better, some real good chances

Storm looks the goods, tackles really solidly

+1 to Zac's captaincy - I thought he did a pretty good job.

IMO Storm was OK, but nothing to write home about.

Slater had a few wild shots towards (I don't think at is quite appropriate) the goal, but he finished that Duke run off really well.

Now for Wednesday's match against Bankstown...

Zac captained very well, but funily enough in 2nd half there was no captain and I thought the mariners were much more doninant in 2nd half

Trialists number 25 26 and 27 have been very impressive as has the kid with the black curly hair, the CB, Bradesivic and Duke were the only two to play a whole game, Bradesivic wasnt tested much but looked much better off his line than Pasfield did on Tuesday

Sterj looks the fittest he has been while with us and Fitzys picked up a bit of speed.

Roux and Slater look good for the future.
Roux and Duke in particular linked up very well in first half down right side

I may be wrong but I thought sterj was captain second half.

Totally agree, both trials he seems to have lifted. A mcbreen-esk late career blossom on the cards?

I spent the first ten minutes trying to see who had the armband, and couldn't see it on anyone, in any case I didn't hear sterj too much, surely Zacs going to be vice captain this year, maybe even Captain! If arnie thinks giving him the armband will lift his game I wouldnt put it past him

Heading down to Jensen Park (in spite of having a members free streaming password). Brother-in-law tells me his godson, age 15, be turning out for the Lions - happy to accept the invitation :pirashoot:

Great night! Very ethnic - my brother-in-law is (Oz born) Assyrian, the godson (Oz born) Uruguayan, also sitting with them were Anthony Caceres' parents and apparently the Bankstown City is a Macedonian club. Aformentioned 15y.o. godson was Matias Paz, who came on with a few minutes to go and instantly rocketed a header just over for the Lions closest thing to an equaliser. Chatted to a few old faces of the CCM cohort and also to a pleasant, accessible Liam Reddy about being a Mariner.

I thought we looked (hardly surprisingly) much more composed and connected than at Pluim. The Storm, Zac, Seip, Rose backline which started and lasted well into the 2nd half looked more like what we've come to expect with wingbacks bombing forward dangeously. Pasfield wasn't as angry last week, composed on the high balls but not tested really. Flores looks like he still needs a bit of time to gel the the system and team mates but was more classy. Nice finish by Sterj for the goal. For mine, nobody was horrible. Come on the season!
