ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Starting 11 was : Pasfield, Roux, Siep, Anderson, Rose, Montgomery, Hutchinson, Caeceras, Flores, Fitgerald, Sterjovski

Back 7 were normal positions, Flores played number 10, Sterjovski played up front, Fitzy played right AM and Caeceras played left AM

Second half, Odel came on for Rose, Matty Simon came on for Fitzy, Sterjovski came off for Slater I think and Caeceras played number 10 and Flores came off for Fitzy to come back on, then last ten minutes Hutch and Monty came off for Verity (?) And number 24/26 (not sure who he is yet)

I think thats how it all went down

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
well...I suppose that wasnt a bad hit out, the young fella wasnt best pleased with the result , he wanted BCL to get a fair walloping, his reason being that we beat them 4-0 last year so we shoulda done the same this year...until i reminded him that this squad has been together for about 4 cups of coffee and a 10 min lie in the sun and the squad that whooped Bankstown last time had 2 years together under their belts...I shall hold off on any criticism until they have had some games in "anger"

also...it was good to see that Jensen Park hadnt changed much since the 80's and my casual kicking days with Bankstown Sports, even the crowd numbers seemed the same

oh yeah and cudos to the production team, the stream was frikkin awesome...I've paid for IPPV's from the states that werent that frikkin steady...MOM..either Monty or Sterj..and the Golden Tonsil goes to Brent Griffiths who seems to have found his after career calling

Good performance by the mariners. Dominated for most of the game and could have scored a coulple more goals. Flores is a very good footballer but needs more game time. MOM, was Caceres again. He was the standout player v the academy but yesterday he was superb. All our goal chances came off his feet. When Caceres,Fitzy,Mile and Flores combined,it was great to watch.

Report and video highlights package from last night up at http://www.footballaustralia.com.au...lay/Mariners-win-2013-Doug-Turnbull-Cup/74261
Rehashing, the Lions close header referred to at the end of the written report (unfortunately not in the video, but I guess they're Mariners' highlights) was definitely the 15y.o. Matias Paz rather than Anthony Lazarou - I was sitting in front of his Mum! I think he's been brought to Dutchy's attention.

Pleasant and accessible Liam Reddy? Intrigued, please do tell...
I just wandered up to him at half time (where he'd been behind the southern goal with Kwas and 2 of the young guys) to say "welcome to this special club, the Mariners, I think you'll find most of us (fans) are reasonable people and will get behind our players who respect the shirt and give their all for the cause" or something. I got a warm handshake, a "thank you, I really appreciate that" and some small talk about the coast before I retreated. He seemed to me to be fitting in amiably with other guys in the team.

Caceres stayed on the left the whole time, Fitzgerald went to number 10 when he went back on. Arnie was really liking caceres at LM. Was great standing behind him and hearing his calls & thoughts. He really likes Storm as well.

Slater was absolutely gassed after 5 mins. He's been training with the team for weeks, one would hope his fitness would be a little better than it is...
