ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Farken.

It's poor form to quote yourself and all that, but I think it's important that we all learn this song:

"Go back to the scum
Go back to the scuuuuuuuuuum
You don't belong here
Go back to the scum"

Better yet, given that there'll be no local community businesses interested in sponsoring him, we should get it put up on the big screen when his face comes up pre-game. Don't want to take any chances that people don't know the words.

I find this hard. on one hand Reddy has earned his poor regard, on the other I want to support the team, the coach who deserves our trust and the team spirit.
any booing or the like at games would be disappointing in that it could create a loss of morale for the players and weaken the trust in their keeper which could be critical at key moments.
also I feel the club has earned the right to some trust with all they've done over the years and they'd have weighed this up well aware of general fan sentiment.
if it's going to happen like it or not I think I'm just going to try and ignore the history and hope for the best, for the teams' sake

That about sums up my feelings.

What it says is that the well of talent has run dry, there is no young gun challenging for an A League spot. Reddy is not the best keeper I have ever seen but he certainly has played some blinders against the Mariners. I leave it to Arnie and his team to manage Reddy's dickhead traits and get the best out of him professionally. I would be surprised though if he is the No.1 choice. it really underlines the severity of the loss of young Mat Ryan (who appears to be doing very well at Club Brugges)

About that......
Hearing he's been signed as first choice. No joke

. spoke to arnie briefly on saturday ... he confirmed a signing was imminent

. i wasn't brave enough to ask specifics, because: i didn't know how to do that without using expletives; knew he wouldn't tell me anyway; and didn't want to 'know' if it was going to happen

. what he did say was that there was not much out there to choose from and that he trusts JC can work his magic ... but the signing was a back-up for justin - and deservedly so

. afterwards i realised i should have asked: is the signing likely to damage team morale and/or supporter sentiment

... but i was ill-prepared, sorry

Allegedly, the staff are well aware of the general loathing of this piece of scum. They are fans too and remember.

What Arnie wants, Arnie gets and this is a worrying trend and shows terrible weakness.

Ill support my team but not him. Ever.

Abuse until he is gone.

Wonder which poor club will have him as their designated Mariner?

Oh well, he's signed lets get over it. JC is a very astute goalkeeping coach and Arinie and co are well aware of his past. I'm sure they have given this much thought and can see some potential. I'm not saying i am happy with this but at the end of the day the club is bigger than any one player. He may be a dickhead but he is our dickhead now.

Im not thrilled, he is a dickhead we all know this.

I'll never forget Perez, Matty Simon or even his punchable face. All I can hope is that he has been eating a solid diet of humble pie these last few years and the time away from first team A-league football has changed his attitude completely.

I also hope that the basis of Arnie and Co signing him was that they identified a broken man who's douchebag past led him to where he was today and he is hungry and talented enough to prove everyone wrong, including the loyal yellow fans who have already written him off.

I hope you are reading this Liam, we don't like you, prove us wrong.
