ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Player movements 2013/2014

Oh well, he's signed lets get over it. JC is a very astute goalkeeping coach and Arinie and co are well aware of his past. I'm sure they have given this much thought and can see some potential. I'm not saying i am happy with this but at the end of the day the club is bigger than any one player. He may be a dickhead but he is our dickhead now.
LOL
I have never abused a player of my team and I won't be starting now. Behaving like dickheads over a dickhead has a certain irony to it

Better yet, given that there'll be no local community businesses interested in sponsoring him, we should get it put up on the big screen when his face comes up pre-game. Don't want to take any chances that people don't know the words.

Come on now every pub in town should be looking to sign him up. You know he will be good for business.
Bluetongue could put him in a couple of ad's. Come down to Blue tongue have a swig with Reddy & then booo the crap out of him.
With a disclaimer - All activities are based on player making it off the plane & not being to pissed to participate[/quote]

Fight Club at West Gosford would probably be interested in sponsoring him.

I'm gonna start an off-shoot of the Yellow Army, it'll be called Liam Reddy's Pissed Army. It works two ways, because we're pissed that he is signed plus we will be pissed on game day in his honour.

Reddy, if you want to play for this magnificent club, read the following article and take a leaf out of the book of a true champion...

“Getting an opportunity as an 18 year old and going on to make the Grand Final that year still seems surreal, as well as all the personal accolades that went along with it. Just so thankful to the coaching staff and players at the Central Coast Mariners who helped me develop during my time there. I learnt so much and it has helped me become the footballer I am today. I’m so happy to cap off my last year being champions. It was a fairy tale end to my time at the club and it was what the whole community has deserved for so long now.”

Gratitude and humility. We were blessed to be able to watch Maty for 3 seasons.

As Wayne Bennett said of coaching "when you start to listen to the fans that's when you'll be joining them in the stands"

Twice we have lost a keeper with a season ending injury and had to rely on our reserve in which case both Danny and Matty stepped up to number 1. Obviously the coaching staff don't think we have adequate cover and Reddy seems to be the only option that they can find that fits within the budget with the quality required.

If I were in Arnies shoes being paid to deliver results then I know which option I would be taking, I mean if the board had listened to the fans on here were wouldn't be where we are today as he wouldn't be our coach!!!

Just so well said.....

I understand the sentiments expressed above but as soon as Liam Reddy signs on for us he becomes a MARINER & will get my support.
Where is the respect for our Club, coach, staff & players?

If you want to protest that is your right but don`t spoil it for those that support the club "no matter what".
No one is going to force you to cheer when his name is read out.

A silent protest would be more acceptable than the utter embarrassment of our crowd booing one of our own players.

What happens if he smashes a WSW on opening night?

Is that him being a dickhead or proving he is made of the right stuff to be a Mariner?

f**k him.

We have all made the odd slip up, its part of growing up (Troy).

Him? How many violent outbursts make it part of who he is?

A public apology for the violence he delights in serving up to our players as a starter might help.

Then for getting Perez suspended

Then for punching Matty Simon

Then for the gestures at Mariners fans

Be a long press conference wont it?

You forgot the king hit to start it all when he was playing for Parra Power in the NSL, and the deliberate stomp on Sully, getting pissed with SFC, plus all the sneaky lash outs behind play not picked up by officials but seen by anyone with Foxtel.

This is not the odd mistake or error of judgement, this is chronic and has been going on for years.

There may not be many good keepers available at the moment but this signing is dangerous for the club and just plain stupid.
