Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Clearing is not all of distribution. Danny was great with the quick distribution throwing/kicking to start a counter attack. Matty did this as well. I think danny is decent with his feet on the ground, but as when matty was here, I hope we dont keep giving hospital passes. ACL was getting overthetop.

Pasfield hasnt done awful, did better this year than last IMO. But still, Danny was very solid for perth this year in the 7 or 8 of their games I watched. Had alot more to do than Justin and unlike Justin has not been warming the bench for 2 years.

Danny was good for us but Ryan was vastly superior. I'm not sure he is any better than Pasfield but would be a great back up if he is cheap enough.

Veeery pleased to see this on twitter-
@CCMariners: ".@MarcosFlores85 & Matty Simon have developed an instant rapport! This combo could be lethal next #aleague season! "

Bit of news on the sponsorship front. Gosford council will decide at their regular meeting tonight if they will sponsor the Mariners for 3 years.
The deal is for a 3 year sleeve sponsorship for around $120k per year. Details are in the business paper available here.

He also answers the question of Matty Simon's fitness - paraphrase "If we were to play tomorrow, he'd be right to go."
just bumped into Matty Simon at Coles Kincumber....he's "ready and raring to go" and looked fit. was glad to be back (of course, why wouldn't he be glad to be back in the best place in Oz)

That pretty well shows that Masterfood is still on board, but re-confirms that Primo are missing.

I wonder if we're likely to see that filled, and I also wonder if Wyong Shire will be staying on the shorts? If so, we'd have filled all our spots.

One reason the sleeve sponsorship might be worth a little more would be that it goes on replica shirts - this'll be the first time we've had a sleeve sponsor on shirts for sale since the MAA were on there through 'Arrive Alive', though we had McDonalds in 2011 for the finals series IIRC.

I was sure I read somewhere that Wyong had chosen not to renew their sponsorship. Will do some digging.

Good news! :) Matty when fit is a player that would get into any side in the A league and there is still nearly 3 months till the season starts. Thinking a midfield with Matty,Flores, Wee Mac,Monty, and either Hutch or Caceres could be quite something.

That settles that:

Pasfield's not #1.
Matt Simon's back in 19 and Mitchell Duke is #9.
In a big surprise, Flores is #10.

Kincumber truly is king's country. Sometimes I wish I had never moved from there...

Dibo,

Thanks for that. Much easier to see where we are at.
Isn't the 16yo Slater a youth player?... and what position does Michael Neill play?
Thanks

OK

Looking at that squad my starting 11 would be switching back to a 442 and lining up as follows..

Pasfield

Roux or Morton? New Dutchy Tesco. Rose

WeeMac. Monty. Flores. Hutcho or Fitzy

Simon. Duke

Subs...keeper?
Ando
Caceras
Sterj

I reckon Roux will get the gig before Morton, but Anderson-Sainsbury are going to be a good duo with new Dutch or Sainsbury on the right side.

I thought he was, but the picture was from the official Mariners facebook feed so that is what the team (or at least the mods of the facebook page) is listing as the players and their numbers, based on preseason training.
