Liverpool have dispatched scouts to Australia to watch talented winger Marco Rojas in action for Melbourne Victory.
The Reds along with Serie A giants Juventus, will run the rule over Rojas, who is exciting clubs across Europe.
Brendan Rodgers already has a devastating young winger in Raheem Sterling, but he is keen to bring in some fresh faces before the transfer window closes.
Although Rojas is on course to win the double with Melbourne, Liverpool feel a move to the Premier League could enhance the winger's reputation.
The International Business Times states that Liverpool could snap up Rojas for as little as £500,000.
They also state that Liverpool and Juventus could table a bid for Rojas next week.
Rojas has been in free-scoring mode for Melbourne Victory, netting 10 times in 15 matches for the club this season.
Rojas' contract runs out in three months, which coincides with when the A-League season finishes.

You know an article is poor when it is clear the research of the story has serious flaws!!!!! Victory for the double hahahaha!

If this pans out it'll strike the right balance for all involved (except where the club doesn't get a fee, but we get the players)

IN-DEMAND Mariners pair Bernie Ibini and Mathew Ryan are being lined up for a double swoop by Belgian side Club Brugge at the end of the A-League season.
As the European transfer window inched towards closing this morning, Mariners boss Graham Arnold was increasingly hopeful of not losing his star duo in the midst of this campaign.
That would be particular relief as it was revealed yesterday that forward Adam Kwasnik will undergo season-ending knee surgery.
It's understood the Belgian side are keen on securing both Ryan and Ibini at the end of the season, as the A-League leaders face the prospect of losing yet more talent overseas.
Ibini returned last week from a week's trial with Brugge, impressing despite the severe weather that hampered his training opportunities, and the Mariners had been waiting to receive an official offer for the striker-cum-winger in this transfer window.

Now The Daily Telegraph understands that the Mariners are aware of interest in both players from Brugge, with Ryan in particular very keen to make a move to Europe as soon as possible.
An offer from Danish club Randers of little more than $100,000, rejected by the Mariners as too little, has not been revisited.
Both players flew to Brisbane yesterday afternoon to face the Roar in a repeat of the 2010 grand final, with the club assuming that no deal will be done today.

Arnie said in the post match press conference that he will be recruiting for injury replacements. Olly looks to be out for a while - dislocated shoulder.

He also said Pellegrino got a six week suspension for a send off in the Youth League. That's heavy. What did he do?

On the positive side, all our kids are playing very well, and while not yet polished, are able replacements.

Pelle apparently spat at someone, so 6 weeks is actually a short suspension. The FNSW prescribed suspension for that is 8.

Arnold has said he will go to the market for an injury replacement. Any educated guesses about who he might seek.

Hernandez was linked to The Mariners in the press back in October. What is his status?

Hernandez would be good if clark had him for about 18 months first... Lot of pies to convert to lean muscle mass!

Apparently the Dutch kid that went to Brisbane on loan, his dad called patrick about the a-league... Talk about dropping the ball patty! Should have said "Yes it's great here at the coast but that Brisbane is a crime ridden flood zone. send him over, he can stay with us" - injury replacement done
