I'm happy with the signings. This time last year we signed some NYL to be in the ACL squad. If Bernie does go I would like to see a striker come in though.

No different to any other time, and they haven't made out like they're signing superstars.

They said they were going to make signing announcements. And they did.

Job done, I reckon.

Great. Love being all about youth. It's a great reward to see top young talent come through as a fan. It's a smart way to position ourselves as a club.

Agree on signing another player if Bernie goes. But not a striker. I think Duke has the goods and deserves second spot over Kwas and now we have Fitzgerald too. In a 4231 though, that's ample good cover, so opposed to signing a froward, I think another AM to compete with Caceres seems a higher priority.

Simon, a lot needs to happen for this to occur but its possible.

Wilko, heard he's doing really well and racking up games. So I doubt anything

Hearfields career might have turned to and never to be seen again.........

Nice bloke but who cares about Hearfield? Hope all is well personally but professionally he is just another squad filler. He would be a useful addition to scum or perth....he has pace and can finish but is lightweight for our standard in season 8.

Wilko would not be a good signing for us now but Matty Simon would be.

I hear you, but we are still light on for a top grade centre forward like The Gypo, Smeltz or Sackwacker.

Duke and Bernie have great potential but cant lead the line yet especially with our mainly defensive line up that really needs a spearhead lone striker. Macca has played the role amazingly well but he is nearly as old as me.

We need a striker.

Caceres, Olly and Macca can all play 10.

Mmm, we have four dedicated forwards though. With an even split as I see it, Duke and McBreen as our hold up guys, with Kwas and Fitzy to play off/offer something different. Two of each seems apt to me...?

Whereas as I see our number 10 as arguably not being filled at all. I rate Caceres, but he may be better suited to Dm? We'll see. Olly, Weemac, and Macca can all do a job there your right... but where we have 4 dedicated strikers for two positions, we don't "really" have two dedicated number 10's anymore. Perhaps not even one. But all in all we are not in bad shape. But an additional attacking option if Bernie goes along with Tommy seems like a good idea.

This is true, Caceres may grow into the position, or click into gear suddenly, but as things stand we don't really have any natural no. 10's just players who canplay that role.

Ha! Love it. Though fan as I am of our youth policy, I think we would be owned with that side Pat. Need the right balance of graft and experience in every squad.
