Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

    ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Thought this might be it and it's brilliant news

of further interest is this comment "and playing under Arnie (Graham Arnold) is a big factor for me. I've played some of my best stuff under him and I think it is beneficial for me to continue developing here."

shouldn't read too much into it but positive signs about Arnie's future with the club also. heh that said i know there were roar players that re-signed to remain under Ange but it's still encouraging to see

back to Weemac - he really is one of our all time best and this being settled should have a positive impact on our next few games too

I'm going to take a punt on Shunsuke Nakamura. Feel like it will be a midfielder and someone near the end of their career. He also has a Celtic connection. :) Of course i could be totally off track! Aewsome news about the Glinch too.

Fantastic news! So glad he's keen to stay. It will definitely have a good impact on our squad and upcoming matches.

Also reading the "we fended off bigger clubs" with the recent "APD is leaving without a Sydney overhaul" headlines I'm guessing Sydney were gunning for him.

It's pretty massive. CCM have just gone through a period where instead of selling any who've caught an interest, have; sold only one quality player, retained a number who were speculated to be leaving and possibly bringing in a Japanese international that was at the last WC.

Massive step. Or leap even. LOVE this club :D

I was thinking Endo on loan, but I just remember he's committed to Gamba Osaka and the J-leagues start soonish.

Someone on 442 repping a Japanese name and is seemingly knowledgeable on this said;
"Daisuke Matsui, most likely, or less likely Junichi Inamoto.

Endo, Nakamura Kengo and Nakamura Shunsuke are confirmed at their current clubs, and the first 2 are current internationals which would be mentioned, and coming to the A-League wouldn't be in their interests."

Interesting..
