ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Feels good to get one up on the mob who tried to steal our coach. Maybe Frankie knew the story when he said he wasn't in any hurry to sign Bosnar.

Agree and think everything was prearranged if Trent's sale went ahead. If it didn't come through then Eddy would have been signed by Sydney. We had first dibs I think. Good that Mossy knows him well so will know that he will fit in.

Yes Aussie dollars. I meant stop by the forum :)

For all interested in Trent Sainsbury and his new club Pec Zwolle: We've just beaten Roda JC Kerkrade(3-1) who were just below us, so that gives us some space from the lower positions in the league and the opportunity to look at the positions that give entrance to the Europa League.* During the game we lost two of our CB's (Van der Werff and Lachman) due to injury, so it looks as though Sainsbury will soon get playing time.

*Qualification for the Europa League seems difficult to miss btw since we're also in the semi-final of the cup (KNVB beker, like the FA Cup in England) and playing NEC Nijmegen (at the moment last in the league) at home. I have to admit we had a very lucky draw throughout that competition. If we make the final (knockin on wood right now) we would most likely play Ajax. Normally we would lose that game, but seen that Ajax is first in the league (which gives a direct spot in the Champions League group phase) and is unlikely to give that away, a loss would still grand us a place in the Europa League. Still followin?

Makes perfect sense... thanks for letting us know

Personally, I couldn't be happier with Trent's move (apart from the fact he is leaving us of course). Moving to a competitive team playing in one of the best leagues in the world... with a high chance of first team selection PLUS European football.... WOW!

We have a thread for the discussion of our ex-players playing overseas... http://www.ccmfans.net/community/in...conquering-the-world.5223/page-24#post-190507 It would be great if you could keep us updated on Tesco's progress.

Fantastic stuff to hear. Especially about Sains likely to get time and next year exposure to continental football. He is a top player, treat him well.

Hi I'm a PEC Zwolle supporter.

. welcome to the forum ... we will certainly miss Sains ... please treat him well, our country needs him

. i know practically nothing of the dutch football league, but i understand it will better suit Trent's game than many of the other leagues young Aussies head to ... and he will continue to develop as a consequence

. he is very laid back ... even by Aussie standards ... and may appear shy. but this makes him extremely calm on the football pitch, hopefully his relaxed demeanor does not deter your coaching staff (as it did a certain former manager of the national team)

. as others have mentioned, please drop by the forum and let us know how he gets on and what you think of him. the only problem i see is that you may not fit in here ... because your written English is superior to so many of us

Eddy is certainly making the right noises.
http://www.footballaustralia.com.au...lay/Official-Bosnar-inks-Coast-contract/84760
“I am excited to be back in Australia and I am looking forward to the challenge ahead,” he said before training with his new teammates in Tuggerah on Saturday.

“I was training with Sydney FC, and like we always said it was just training at the beginning, and then some sort of interest did happen from both parties. But I have decided to take up the offer from Central Coast and I think I have made the right choice.”

“Playing in the AFC Champions League was a massive drawcard, and I’ve also known Mossy (Phil Moss) for years. I’ve heard of the atmosphere here at the club and I think it is the right place for myself.”
Mossy's not unfamiliar with him and declares respect and affection.
“I have known Eddy for a long time and understand his quality,” Moss said. “He’s a supremely strong defender with tonnes of experience in Europe and Asia, and will add great steel and know-how to our squad.”

“He’s a winner, he’s extremely mentally strong, and he’s a great guy to boot".
So why has he played for so many different clubs, many for one season only, especially when he can launch those free-kicks? (Excuse the ignorance - I'd not known of him until he visited us with Suwon Bluewings)
